"Alright, we're rolling" the interviewer spoke as he aimed his camera at the woman as she attached her microphone to her shirt. "Can you tell your name and relationship to the subject of this documentary for the people watching?"
"Mary Jane Grimm, I'm his wife"
"And what do you do?"
Mary Jane shrugged. "I cook, I clean, I take care of the kid. I'm part of the school's PTA. I used to model too, but that stopped a bit after we got engaged"
"And why did it stop? You had been successful, right?"
"I did" Mary Jane answered simply. "But modeling... it's just a fancy way of saying showing off your body. It didn't sit right with the fiancé. He didn't make me quit, but I knew he'd prefer it so I did"
"Do you regret it?"
"No. Modeling was terrible, everyone looking to hire me was sleazy. And I do feel better now, being more modest I mean"
The interviewer nodded. "Let's get to what I'm here for. How about we start with how you and your husband met?"

"When the Fantastic Four had gotten their powers we had only been teenagers"
A young Mary Jane Watson watched the television with curiosity as the man burst into flames yet didn't burn. It was miraculous. The carpet he stood on was not as lucky and quickly lit on fire.
Mary Jane burst into a fit of giggles as she watched the man yelp and quickly try to stomp out the fire, seemingly forgetting he was still himself on fire.
"They were the first modern superheroes. There was the Human torch, Johnny. Mister Fantastic and The Invisible Woman, Reed and Sue. And finally there was The Thing, Ben Grimm"
"The Thing had always been a name that bothered me. It felt mean. I always assumed someone had just called him it and it had stuck. I don't know why Ben didn't try to rebrand. I mean he was Jewish and made of rocks, I would have gone with 'The Golem' or something like that"
Ben Grimm walked in silence down the streets of New York, wearing the biggest trench coat he could find and a large hat to match. He had tried shoes as well but they had ripped. "Stupid Shoes" he muttered as he glared down at the shoes that continued to tear more with every step.
Why had he been cursed with this new body when all of his friends had received blessings? Sue could go invisible, Reed could stretch, and Johnny was hotter than ever. So why had he become this? A creature that scared anyone who came across it.
"I'm getting off topic! Anyways, like everyone I wanted to see these heroes in person"
Mary Jane Watson was shocked that she had managed to slip through the crowd without receiving anything more than a few shoves. The Baxter Building, the home of the fantastic four, was always crowded. Now though it was triply as crowded since the team were expected to return from a mission at any moment.
Once she had reached the building it was just about trying to find a way inside so she could wait there for them. She decided to go to the alleyway between this building and the next, there were less people there.
"It must have been a hundred and five degrees out that day, so what did I do? I faked passing out once I was sure I was in view of the security cameras and away from most of the crowd"
Mary Jane was starting to think nobody had noticed her, that or they knew she was faking it. She was about to open her eyes when finally she heard the side door of the building open up. She decided to keep taking it.
"You okay?" The voice was young and concerned. It wasn't any of the Fantastic Four, that much was obvious. "Hello?"
Mary Jane remained limp, playing unconscious perfectly. All the acting she'd done as a kid was hopefully about to pay off.
"Uh-" the boy didn't seem to know what to do. "I'm gonna take you inside..." he walked around her a couple of times, seemingly trying to decide how to get her in. Finally he crouched down and did his best to pick her up, avoiding touching her anywhere to intimate as best as he could. MJ appreciated that, most of the boys in school probably would have taken advantage of the situation.
Once they were inside it was instantly cooler. She heard the door close and she smiled, happy to be out of the boiling temperatures.
Finally after a couple of minutes and an elevator ride Mary Jane was placed down on a couch. She decided now was a good time to fake waking up. "Ugh-" she groaned as she did when she faked being sick to avoid going to school.
"I opened my eyes and there he was. I was shocked that I recognized him. He was Ben Grimm's brother. He had become infamous for- well..."
"You're the kid who kicked the human torch in the shin on Conan" young Mary Jane burst out suddenly only a moment after she had opened her eyes.
The boy let out a small laugh at that as he turned to look to MJ again. "(Y/n) Grimm. And you are?"
