Chapter 5 - Willow POV

A month later (it's fall season, so not hot but not freezing cold)

I put my hair in a messy bun, then put my glasses on, put my phone in my back pocket before walking downstairs, and did not see any of the girls, which was weird, but oh well I started making myself some cereal for breakfast since that's easy and didn't feel like making a huge breakfast just for myself and sat at the dining table, seeing that it's after 1 pm and Angel should be home in about 2 hours and quickly asked Ari and Kay where they were, both at college, of course.
     I had recently quit being a model and told my agents that I didn't have much time for myself and my family, which they understood and supported me, thank goodness. I was scrolling on Instagram when a text popped up from Jason, which made me smile and feel giddy. I opened the text, "Morning (for u at least), princess. Hope u slept well and had amazing dreams like I did about u 😘   we're going out tonight. Dress nice, something comfortable and I'll see u at ur place at 6 princess."
    My jaw dropped, reading the text, and immediately responded, "OMG. Where r u taking me? Is it romantic? Have u told me about it before?" Jason didn't respond back which I was sad about but decided to clean my bowl and spoon then suddenly my phone rang, seeing Angel school name pop up and I answer immediately, hearing Angel yell in the background with the principal, Mr. Jones asked if i could come in immediately. I called Jason and told him what happened, so he quickly picked up after I had changed and put my hair in a messy bun with my glasses, getting in the passenger seat, making Jason smile.
    I told him that the principal called, which hasn't happened before, so I was nervous about what happened and already knew Angel wouldn't do anything to get in trouble on purpose. Despite how we grew up, we'd always stay out of trouble or we'd get beat by our parents and/or their friends... sometimes worse. I close my eyes as a flashback starts to resurface, but thankfully, Jason says my name, gently rubbing my thigh, making my eyes open, and the memory disappears. I smile at Jason, thankful he got my attention and we got out of his car, him opening and closing my door and helping me out, holding my hand as we walked to Mr. Jones office. I knock and hear him yell to come in, which I did and see Angel, fuming and glaring at 2 boys who both have bloody noses and black eyes along with their parents who look absolutely livid as well, glaring at Angel who I sit beside, Jason standing behind me, his hand on my shoulder and I whisper to Angel, "Idk what you did but I'm proud of you sis. I got your back always." She immediately smiles and has her playful look in her eyes, looking at her hands thats covered in the boys blood, making me smirk.
    Mr. Jones clears his throat, getting all our attention and says, "These boys claim that Angelina attacked them for no reason at all and unfortunately nobody else was there to witness what happened so unfortunately Angelina I have no choice but to-" I cut him with suddenly pissed, "Hold the hell up. No, no and again FUCK no. Did you even ask Angel what happened or immediately took the boys side cause they're boys and suddenly nothing they do is wrong? How about we ask Angel what happened instead of these cry baby boys who clearly deserve the ass beating my sister gave them. Tell us what happened and don't leave anything out Angel. It's ok."
    I grab her hand, softly rubbing her hand which she nods and says, "I was minding my business in between classes since i have a free period getting my locker clean cause I noticed it got super dirty and heard those two trying to talk to me and ignored them. They kept trying to flirt with me and eventually they both touched me... without permission..." she started crying and I immediately pulled her into a hug, her sobbing in her my chest, her hands covering her face and I give the boys an ice cold look along with Jason glaring at the boys and their parents, who were getting onto the boys then turned to Mr. Jones and say, "you know how we grew up and should at least understand why she'd have that kinda reaction to someone touching her without permission. If someone touches Angel without permission, I've always told her to beat their ass especially if it's dumb teenage boys who don't know the word no like those two. Now, you can let Angel go without any problem and give those two the punishment they definitely deserve or I'll call my lawyer cousin and see about suing the school and those pathetic excuses of boys. Your choice."
    I turn back to Angel, rubbing her hair and whisper in her ear, "it's ok sis. I told you that I'd always protect you no matter what and so would Ari and Kay, now Jason and his friends will too. I promise sis. When we get home, we'll have a girls day, watching corny movies, doing makeup, gossiping... eating terrible food we shouldn't eat, order food whatever you want... ok?" She nods, still softly crying. I ignore Mr. Jones and the boys parents yelling at them and see Jason sit beside me since Angel is pretty much sitting on my lap now and he gently rubs her back, making her jump and look then smiles at Jason who smiles back and whispers, "Your sister is right, don't let that go to your head princess," he gives me a joking look and I playfully roll my eyes as he continues, "me and my boys think of yall as family now and will protect you no matter what happens with me and your sister, ok? I'll probably stay over with you girls at least until Ari and Kay come back then I gotta get ready for our date Willow." He winks at me which makes me blush and Angel whispers, "ooooh your going on a daaatteee. Oooohhh."
     Mr. Jones tells us we can leave so Jason ask if he can carry Angel who shakes her head and clings to me as he grabs her backpack off the floor, giving one last glare to the boys, who were crying at this point and we go to his car, Angel doesn't let me go so I get in the backseat with her laying on my lap, softly crying still. I massage her back and hair, softly singing to her. Jason ask if he wants me to drive us around a bit so she has time to calm down which I nod, still singing to Angel who starts to fall asleep. Within 5 minutes of us driving around, she's asleep so I quickly text Ari and Kay what happened at her school and tell them about the girls day we're gonna have and my date with Jason later on then put my phone down as Jason turns to look at Angel then me and ask, "Is she gonna be ok?" 
    I sigh, still rubbing her back, "Not entirely sure in all honesty. She's never been called to the principals office before so I know she was worried about that but I always told her I'd have her back even if she did something stupid for no reason. She knows I'd protect her like when we were kids. We grew up horrible and I don't want her to have to worry about anything else besides finishing school and figuring out her life." Jason nods as we drive by Walmart which I ask if he could go in for me so I don't wake up Angel and quickly text him a list of groceries we need for girls day. He nods, gives me a quick kiss before getting out and walking inside. I turn my attention to my baby sister who unfortunately still had some abuse happen to her but thankfully never witnessed what happened to me.
       Whenever she was hurt, she'd always run into my room and we'd cuddle each other, crying and falling asleep, me keeping her in my arms, away from the door, acting like a shield. I only know she had been assaulted once cause she ran into my room right after it had happened and saw the blood running down her legs and immediately took care of her, giving her a bath.. comforting her and once she was asleep, she was only 10 years old and I  was 13 but could fight, I went downstairs to see the men who had hurt me and my sister so many times and just started beating them all, not caring about anything, just putting all the hurt and pain they caused us onto them.
     Suddenly cops showed up and I saw Angel at the door, crying and knew she finally called them. The lady cop saw blood all over her still and immediately took her away but Angel was screaming my name so I ran to her and told the cops to leave her alone and explain everything that had happened to us while the adults, our parents included, were finally arrested. Ari, Kay and their parents were at our house; comforting us, asking the cops how they could adopt us which made me and Angel excited. Few months later, we were officially adopted and finally happy. Angel still had nightmares for years, screaming and crying but she has them less frequently now but will still climb in bed with me, crying and asking why it happened to us.
    I jump as the driver door opened with Jason climbing in with multiple bags and smiles at me then frowns when he wipes my cheek that has tears running down my face. "Hey princess. It's ok. Your safe here. Don't worry. I got you both." He opens the back door and hugs me, careful not to wake Angel who sleeps like the dead now. I cry into his arms, not saying anything but he just rubs my back and whispers in my ear about how strong and beautiful I am, how lucky Angel is to have me as a big sister until I gasp Ari and Kay's name.
   Jason understands and quickly calls them on my phone and all he says is that I'm crying and having a panic attack before I hear the girls jumping in their car and they ask where we're at which Jason tells them then hangs up before turning to me and hugs me again, kissing my forehead, nose, cheeks and lips. A few minutes later, Ari and Kay pull beside us and quickly get out, coming to me and Jason carefully puts Angel in the backseat of Ari car along with the groceries, smiling at me. Kay thanks Jason for the groceries and being there for us. Jason smiles and ask if he can do anything to help to which Ari, whose comforting me, shakes her head, "Besides being there for her and trying to comfort her like you did, that's it. You gotta get her to breathe and focus on something that calms her. Watch." She turns to me and softly grabs my hands, looking in my eyes, "Willow. Hey, its Ari. I need you to focus on me really quick, can you do that?"
    I shake my head, still remembering our childhood and say, in a shaky voice, "They hurt Angel... she was just a child... they hurt my baby sister and I didn't protect her.. I failed." Ari and Kay look at each other knowing what I'm talking about but Jason looks confused but doesn't ask. Ari and Kay both talk to me for a few minutes before I suddenly snap out of it, blinking a few times, looking around then ask, "it happened again.. didn't it?" Ari and Kay nod, softly smiling at me. I notice Jason stil there and say, "I figured you would have ran by now Jay... I'm sorry." Jason comes over to me, holding his arms out, asking for a hug which I gladly give him and he runs his hands through my hair, "You can never make me run from you princess. I promise." He gives me a soft kiss on the cheek and says, "I got the groceries for yall girls day or whatever. If you wanna do the date tomorrow that's fine princess." I shake my head, "No. I still wanna go out tonight please."
    Jason looks relieved and nods before giving me a quick kiss on the lips, thanking Ari and Kay who thank him again for calling them and the groceries which I quickly thank Jason for as well. He hands me Angel and my bags, giving me another kiss on the lips before saying "goodbye princess. See you tonight," and drives off. Kay helps me into the back with Angel, whose still asleep and gets in the passenger seat and Ari drives back to our place, neither of them asking what happened which I'm extremely thankful for. They know I don't like talking about what causes my panic and anxiety attacks. Once we get home, I gently wake up Angel who groans and eventually gets up, walking groggily inside and falls back asleep on the couch as we bring and put up groceries.
   I notice Jason had gotten more than I asked for which makes me smile and the girls notice, smirking at me. I quickly text Jason, "Thank you again for groceries, being there for me at Angel's school and helping with my panic attack. I notice u got me more self care and some gift cards. Thank u Jay. Really. It means a lot and shows how much u really care and appreciate me. I'm extremely grateful and so is the girls. Angel is still asleep which she will be probably all day."
   Ari and Kay start pulling out more self care items, different kinds of face and hair masks, nail polish colors, Starbucks, target, different nail places and Ultra gift cards, different kinds of makeup pallets with multiple brushes and eyeliners, brushes, curling irons, straighteners, different boxes of multiple hair colors which I'm surprised he remembers me talking about dying my hair red and finally, different slippers and headbands, making me smile. They both look at everything in shock, we already put away the cold stuff and didn't know what to do with everything besides look at it, shocked and silent.
    Ari grabs a box of auburn hair dye and looks over it before handing to me, saying, "You should do red. Jason would love that on you. Don't tell him or anything. Let him see you when he comes to pick you up for the date." I nod, taking the box and sigh, "We have enough stuff for at least 2 months of girls day and nights if not longer." Ari and Kay nod, still in shock but start going through everything and claiming what they each want and I laugh before grabbing stuff for me and Angel, putting her stuff in a giant bag which I put beside her backpack that's by the couch she's on before going to quickly dye my hair since it's already 4. While letting the dye set, I look for my outfit, slightly panicked before finding the perfect outfit which I set on my bed and get everything ready to shower.
     Once I finish taking the shower, I wrap a towel around me and quickly blow dry my hair, gasping at how dark yet bright it is. (AN it won't be the same girl that's in the pics for who plays Willow but I found a color close enough to what I have pictured for the hair and her date outfit at the end of this chapter) I quickly get dressed and make sure everything looks good before doing downstairs and see Ari and Kay doing each other's hair when they gasp, seeing me. I notice Angel is surprisingly awake and she notices me, her jaw dropped. "OMG. Willow! You look gorgeous and that hair!" They all get up and look at my hair, shocking how good it looks when my phone dings, Jason. "Hey princess. I know it's early but i couldn't wait any longer. I'm on the way now, about 10 minutes out. I'll see u soon."
    I read the text out loud which the girls squeal and jump up and down before calming down and finish each other's hair while I make them a snack before Ari joins me in the kitchen, playfully slapping my hand away and says, "I got this. Go out there with Angel before you have to leave. She freaked when she woke up and couldn't find you but saw us and slightly calmed down." I felt guilty and nodded before sitting beside Angel, who leans against me, wrapping her arms around me, apologizing for what happened at school and sleeping so much. I rub her back and kiss the side of her forehead and smile softly at her, making her smile back as Ari braids her hair, making Angel giggle. We hear a knock on the front door so i quickly get up to open and smile, seeing Jason yet again, smiling while holding a bouquet of my favorite flowers, making me smile and blush.
   He looks at my hair and his jaw drops, "Whoa. Princess... you look... gorgeous." I blush harder, putting the flowers in a vase as Jason follows, noticing the girls using the stuff he bought which makes him smile. "I wasn't sure what you girls liked so I kinda went overboard with everything.. I'm sorry if it's too much." The girls and I all shake our heads and agree that it's more than ok and thank him again. He nods, softly blushing before taking my hand and tells me we gotta get going so I quickly hug the girls, Angel a little tighter and say bye before we get in the car, Jason holding and closing my door as usual and gets inside before driving off, one hand on my thigh as usual. He has music playing which makes me smile and we talk about anything and everything as he pulls into what looks like an empty restaurant then stops the car, turns it off, gets out, helps me out and closes the door before leading me inside, holding the door for me, making me gasp at the sight.
    Flowers everywhere, roses mostly and I look at Jason surprised and tear up which he notices and ask if it's ok, looking nervous. I nod, quickly hugging and kissing him before he leads us to a table, pulling my chair out and pushing me back in before sitting across from me, smiling at me as I look around, in awe and shock how he pulled this off. Suddenly Tyga and Alfredo walk out in waiter outfits, making me laugh as they smile at me, asking what we'd like to drink. I tell them a water and Jason agrees which the boys leave them come back with glasses of water before walking away, leaving us alone, to look at the menu and talk.
    "I don't know what I want Jay. I'm too indecisive. Have you been here before?" Jason shakes his head but says, "I found this place a week ago and rented it for us. I know the owner and people who work here though so no worries princess. I wanted it to be perfect first date." I nod, my smile getting bigger while looking at the menu. "OHHH Alfredo pasta. That's my favorite." Jason smiles and says, "Get whatever you want princess. Don't worry about the price. If you wanna get a lot so you can bring it home, that's fine too. I'm gonna do that as well." I nod and say, "I'm getting the chicken Alfredo with garlic bread on the side for myself, gnocchi and cheese sauce with beef for Ari and Kay then that tomato soup and grilled cheese for Angel. I'll get dessert later."
   Jason nods as Alfredo comes back, asking if we know what we want so I order me and the girls food, letting Alfredo know whose food was for who so he could put it in to go boxes with their names and Jason ordered steak for himself with veggies on the side and told Alfredo to get whatever himself and Tyag wanted along with something for Ryan. Alfredo nodded and walked away, making me smile at Jason again. We kept talking even after Alfredo brought us our food and let me know he was saving the girls food for before we left so it was still hot. I quickly texted the girls that I'd be bringing dinner home for them which they were all excited about and Ari let me know Angel was doing ok and had her boyfriend over with Kay and her keeping an eye on him which made me giggle. Jason noticed and I told him what Ari said and that made him laugh as well. We started eating and I moan at how good the food is. Jason adjust himself which makes me smile, dimples popping out and he smiles back, cutting his steak and eating it.
     Once we finish eating, Alfredo takes our plates and I ask about dessert knowing the girls and I would be craving it later so he hands me the dessert menu and I notice brownies, cookies, cakes, cupcakes and ice cream of every flavor and topping imaginable so I order one of everything besides the ones with peanuts on it since Angel and Ari are allergic. Jason pays the bill refusing to let me see as Alfredo, Ryan and Tyga come out carrying at least 3 bags each. I try to take one but Jason shakes his head and takes 2 bags from the boys and they load the food in his car before saying bye and we head back to my place, Jason smiling and laughing as I tell a happy childhood memory of me trying to bathe Angel puppy who kept running away from the bath.
   When we get to the house, again Jason doesn't let me help him carry anything inside so I open the door and Keith, Angel boyfriend, immediately starts helping Jason carry the food in while the girls look at everything and I tell them to put the ice cream in the freezer which they do and look at their food, excitedly. Angel shares her food with Keith once him and Jason finish bringing in the food. Jason gives me a hug and kiss but I pount, asking if he'd stay the night which he happily agrees. I turn to Angel and she says before i can say anything, "Relax. Keith isn't staying the night and I'll be going back to house once I'm done eating cause of school. Keith is taking me back." I nod, glad she knew what I was gonna ask.
   We all finish eating, Angel and Keith giving us all hugs before they leave, I tell Angel to text me the minute she's home which she nods and gives another hug before saying bye and loves us. We say that we love her too as they leave. I quickly get comfy clothes on, taking my makeup off while Jason watches in my bed, in just his sweatpants which he left here. I've noticed he's been leaving more clothes here but I don't mind. After I get ready for bed, I climb beside him in his arms, kissing him good night and fall asleep, feeling happy and content.
