Ring off
Beyonce & Mama Tina
---

The Knowles household was eerily quiet that evening. The usual hum of activity had been replaced by a heavy silence that seemed to cling to the walls. Beyoncé sat on the couch, flipping through an old photo album. She smiled at the pictures of family vacations, birthdays, and holidays, all filled with laughter and love. But tonight, something felt off.

Her mother, Tina, walked into the room, her face pale and drawn. Beyoncé looked up, immediately sensing that something was wrong. "Mom, what's going on?" she asked, her voice tinged with concern.

Tina sat down beside her daughter, taking a deep breath before speaking. "Beyoncé, there's something I need to tell you," she began, her voice trembling. "Your father... he cheated on me. And we're getting a divorce."

The words hung in the air, heavy and suffocating. Beyoncé felt as if the ground had been pulled out from under her. "What? No, that can't be true," she stammered, her eyes welling up with tears.

Tina reached out, gently taking Beyoncé's hand in hers. "I wish it wasn't true, baby. But it is. I've tried to make it work, to forgive him, but I can't. I deserve better, and so do you."

Tears streamed down Beyoncé's face as she looked at the woman who had always been her rock. "How could he do this to us? To you?" she whispered, her voice breaking.

Tina pulled her daughter into a tight embrace, her own tears falling freely now. "I don't know, sweetheart. I don't know. But we'll get through this together. We have to be strong for each other."

As they sat there, holding each other and crying, Beyoncé felt a mix of emotions – sadness, anger, betrayal. But above all, she felt a deep sense of love and gratitude for her mother. No matter what happened, they would face it together.

Later that night, Beyoncé lay in her bed, staring at the ceiling. She replayed her mother's words over and over in her mind, each repetition feeling like a fresh wound. She thought about her father, the man who had always been her hero. How could he betray them like this?

The next morning, the sun rose, casting a warm glow through the windows. But the light did little to lift the heaviness in the house. Tina and Beyoncé sat at the breakfast table, picking at their food in silence. The clinking of cutlery was the only sound, a stark contrast to the usual chatter and laughter that filled their mornings.

"Mom, what are we going to do?" Beyoncé finally asked, breaking the silence.

Tina looked up, her eyes red and puffy from crying. "We're going to take it one day at a time, Bey. We'll figure it out together. We have each other, and that's what matters."

Beyoncé nodded, trying to muster a smile. She knew her mother was right. They had each other, and they would get through this. But the road ahead seemed long and uncertain.

In the weeks that followed, the Knowles household slowly began to heal. Tina and Beyoncé leaned on each other for support, finding strength in their bond. They cried together, laughed together, and slowly started to rebuild their lives.

Beyoncé threw herself into her music, finding solace in the melodies and lyrics. She poured her heart and soul into every note, using her pain as fuel for her creativity. And through it all, her mother was there, cheering her on, reminding her that she was loved.

One evening, as they sat together on the porch, watching the sunset, Beyoncé turned to her mother. "Thank you, Mom. For everything. I don't know what I would do without you."

Tina smiled, her eyes filled with love. "You don't have to thank me, Bey. We're family. We take care of each other. Always."

And in that moment, despite the pain and heartache, Beyoncé knew that they would be okay. They had each other, and that was enough.
