(sunghoon's pov)

"Remind me once again who all are coming?" Heeseung asks me regarding the school friends gathering we would be attending tonight.

The meet up was to be held at a bar somewhere in the heart of the city, a little distant from our college. It was also his first time meeting my friends as we went to different schools, so I was kind of excited about it.

Speaking of Heeseung. He is my college roomate and best friend, and I may or may not have had a big fat crush on him since freshman year. Currently we're in our last year of college, and as you would guess, I still haven't confessed. I don't want to risk losing what we have now for something so uncertain.

"Jay and Sunoo will be there, I'm positive about that. Jake and his girlfriend will be there too. I'm not sure about the others, though," I reply and he gives me a nod in return. He picks up the keys to his motorcycle from the sideboard before putting on his shoes and walking out the door. I quickly tie up my shoelaces before following him outside.

I could see his hands shivering, and I extend mine to him. Holding hands was supposed to be normal for us— or for him, at least— but it was an action that always gave me butterflies. I mean, could you really blame me?

"You nervous?" I ask him, rubbing the palm of his hand with my thumb. He nods his head.

"A little, but I'll be fine. You know I can handle situations with new people well so don't worry about me," he says, smiling at me. I could feel my heart beat in and out of my chest rapidly at the small action. I still can't believe that even after all this time, he still has such a big effect on me.

We both put on our helmets and I hop on behind Heeseung, who was revving up the bike.

"You ready?" He asks a rhetorical question, taking off soon after. I secure my arms around his waist tightly as he gains speed— yet another action that made always made me feel a little shy. He looked the most attractive when he was riding his bike.

We cross several roads, some empty, and some jam-packed with vehicles. We should've taken into consideration the traffic in the peak evening hours. Nevertheless, the drive to the city was calming. The sun was slowly setting into the horizon, the weather was cool and windy, and I was sitting on a bike behind my dream man, hugging him tightly.

"Is this the place we're looking for? According to the map, we're already here," Heeseung asks me as he draws the bike to a halt. The bike is parked in front of a boxy two-storey building. The structure was mostly beige in colour, but the top right portion of it seems to have caught fire before, judging from the black marks staining it's exterior walls. Still, the place had some charm to it.

I recheck the details shared with me by my friends and confirm with him, giving him the sign to take off his helmet.

I have never admitted this to him (and for obvious reasons), but the part where he takes off his helmet is by far my favorite part of every bike ride we go on together. Anticipating him to carry out the same slow-motion (or at least slo-mo in my head) helmet removal process as usual, I quickly take off mine, almost slamming my face against the helmet after taking it off. However, I notice that Heeseung still hasn't moved an inch.

"What's wrong?" I ask him, concerned. I know he voluntarily signed up to tag along with me, but I didn't want to force him to do something he wasn't comfortable with, which is why I kept checking up on him every now and then. He turns his head towards me and lifts the plastic covering of the helmet above his eye level. He smirks.

"I think I've finally figured out why you always remove your helmet so fast," Heeseung tells me, sporting a teasing look. I hum in response, acting innocent. Internally, I was panicking like crazy. What if he's figured out what I feel for him?
