Sunghoon's life was like a broken tape recorder on loop. He starts his day at home, making himself something small to eat, goes to work, comes back home exhausted, makes himself yet another meal before heading to bed. He had been living this repetitive lifestyle for over a year now, and he was sick of it.

What was the reason behind this monotonous lifestyle of his, you may ask. The only answer to that is Lee Heeseung, his husband. They have been married for well over a year now, but it seems to Sunghoon that the wedding just took place for the cameras. Heeseung barely acknowledged his existence, despite living in the same house. Hell, Heeseung was barely ever home. He was always cooped up in his office, fulfilling his duties as the CEO of Lee Design Studio.

Truth be told, Sunghoon wanted to make his arranged marriage with Heeseung work. Even though the wedding took place for a major company merger, he really tried, but his attempts to have a good time bonding with Heeseung never seemed to work out. It only resulted in unrequited love, and he was starting to think he should've used Heeseung's approach and just overall ignored him. That would've been better than coming back home to a husband who doesn't love or appreciate you, anyways.

Heeseung's nonchalant and ignorant attitude showed everywhere, not just at home. Even now, where they were attending the inauguration of Kim Couture in the heart of the city. Mr. Kim was a dear friend of Heeseung's father, and so he insisted that his son and son-in-law be present for the grand opening of the boutique.

"Smile, please!" One of the many photographers exclaim as the shutters of a hundred other cameras go off. Sunghoon and Heeseung posed as a couple for the photos, but the public still remained in the dark about the actual status of their relationship. The most physical contact they've had with each other is when they pose for photos, linking arms together. It was kind of pathetic, but it made Sunghoon's heart flutter.

"Okay, perfect. You may leave," another photograph says, gesturing them to step away from the red carpet and allow the next celebrity couple to get their shots taken.

The inaugural event was nothing short of grand— the store alone was about the size of a football field, excluding the outdoor space which was utilized for welcoming the VIPs and other guests, as well as for publicity and the press people to do their thing. Bright LED lights occupied the ceilings, along with balloons and decorations in the brand color; magenta. There were colorful arrangements of flowers in almost every corner of the store and outside of it, representing the very important role it has played throughout the generations in every major event in the Kim family— death, birth, weddings, anniversaries, you name it.

Heeseung leaves Sunghoon's side immediately after they walk away from the cameras, and Sunghoon was left feeling like a damsel in distress again. Heeseung found an old business partner to converse with, and then there was Sunghoon, who stood in the middle of a crowd with no one to keep him occupied. He sighs.

"Care for some company?" A voice pops up behind Sunghoon, making him turn around. His eyes greet a bright and cheerful face, wearing a big smile on his face. He had round cheeks which were tinted pink, and a friendly aura surrounded him. His face looked familiar, and Sunghoon knew why.

"I'm Sunoo," he extends his hands to Sunghoon, to which the latter returns the gesture. Sunoo was the son of Mr. Kim, the owner of Kim Couture. He was next in line to inherit the company according to market rumors, and he's been doing pretty well already, despite being so young.

"I'm Sunghoon, nice to meet you," He offers with a shy smile on his face.

"Likewise. I've seen you on television on lot, but seeing you in person is really a mind-blowing experience! You look so much better in person, the cameras don't do you enough justice, I swear!" Sunoo has his fanboy moment with him, making Sunghoon blush in shyness. He wasn't used to receiving compliments.
