(USUALLY ALWAYS IN ALEIDAS POV!)
All my life, I never knew that my mother was actually real, living. I was told she died, killed herself, other non believable stories, each different. Until Mrs. Liz told me the truth. Which I was told she was crazy, but she stories that felt real, stories weren't told to make me happier.
She told me that my mother left, when I was 7. She left to learn about me. My town was small, less than 400 people. We didn't know what the big cities did. If you wanted to know, you had to travel. People didn't get sick often, and if they did if it was colds, fevers, small sicknesses.
Our town was old, a lot of "haunted" buildings. I've never really believed it. But I was curious, what did my mother leave to learn? Maybe for another day. I said my goodbye and left Mrs. Liz's house, to go to school.
After a short walk, I went to the school cafeteria, to try and find my friends. Geni, Karl, Esmeray, and Jasmyn. Jasmyn was my life long best friend, and for the past month, I've found her attractive. But I'm straight...right?
As I found them, I walked faster. I say next to Jasmyn. She was busy talking to Geni, so I did a quick glance at her. She just seemed so beautiful. I quickly stray my eyes, hearing my name, "Aleida, how's your week going~?" A guy flirted. This was Jack. I hated him, yet he's was in love with me.
"Go away." I responded. His lip turned into a mocking pout. "Don't be like tha—'' He got cut off by a harsh speaking Jasmyn. "She said fuck off." Me and Jasmyn always had each other's backs, especially when it came to guys. "Am I talking to you?" Jack said, offended.
"No, but fuck off. She clearly doesn't want to talk to you. Never has, never will." Jasmyn shot back, glaring at him. Jack rolled his eyes, got up, and went away. She always did this, yet I felt compelled to say thank you each time.
"Thanks." I look from where Jack was to her. "No need to thank me, just sticking up for my awkward ass friend." She smirks. Soon, the bell rung and we were dismissed to 1st period.
Soon, lunch came around, agonizingly slow as well. As much as I liked school because my house was weird and I like to get away from it I hated how long it was. I set a back table because we've claimed the table for just us. People are just assholes and don't like weird people. I'm getting lunch since I didn't feel like eating.
I wasn't starving myself, I just didn't eat at times. Geni and Karl sit at the table next talking, more like shit talking Mr. Guthrie, the science teacher. They had lunches so they obviously didn't need to go through the line. After a few minutes, Esmeray and Jasmyn sit with down their lunch. I sit there awkwardly. "Do you have any homework?" Jasmyn asks, finishing her food.
"Math I think can you help?"I always needed help with math. I was complete shit at it. She noted so I got out my binder in a pencil. She pushed her food aside and opened it to the homework tab. 4/9 × 3/4. "oh come on this is last year stuff. This is easy." She says almost teasing. "Shut up! You know I'm shit at math." I rolled my eyes. "Well it's easy what's 9×4?"
"36."
"Now what's 4×3?"
"12."
"Put 12 over 36." I wrote it down on the paper. "Now simplify it." I groan. "I don't wanna do this shit!" I whine. "Just do it!" I sigh, and simplify it. "...1/3 right?" Jasmyn nods. I look over the paper making sure I didn't have any more equations. I didn't so I put my binder away.. "I hate math, it's so stupid!"
"We know." Karl giggles. "You're a bitch," I roll my eyes again. I did that a lot. Karl gasps mockingly. "How dare you say such foul language to me?!" He can't help but smile. "Get over it."I respond sarcastically. Karl shook his head, then talking to Geni probably flirting now.
Geni and Karl have dated since sixth ever since Karl started his transition. We all started to talk about Halloween since it was getting closer. We were interrupted by the bell ringing. We had to finish school out. After what seems like forever we got out. I walked with Jasmyn out of the school. "Thanks for helping me with homework earlier."
"Anytime." She smiles. Gosh, that beautiful fucking smile. I waved before continuing to walk since my house was close. When I reach my house, Ms. Rabel, my neighbor also the town "witch" wave politely so I returned it. I open the front door cringing as I do because of the hung up cross my dad has on the door. He was religious. I was not.
ACK GUYS PLEASE! LET ME KNOW IF I DID GOOD OR BAD I TREID SO HARD! I am working on the second chapter, but again school is a bitch. I was too excited when I finished this one to not post it. Thank you!
