Their Saturday tradition continued, but something subtle had shifted. There were more quiet moments between them now, moments where Y/N would catch Felix looking at her with a warmth that made her heart race. She wasn't sure if she was imagining things, but it felt like their friendship was growing into something more.
One Saturday, after another long day of shopping, Felix walked Y/N to her car. The sky was beginning to darken, the evening settling in around them. He seemed quieter than usual, his hands tucked into his pockets as they walked side by side.
"Y/N," he began, his voice softer than usual. "I've been meaning to tell you something."
Her heart skipped a beat. "What is it?"
Felix stopped walking, turning to face her. His eyes, normally full of mischief and warmth, were serious now. "I didn't expect to meet someone like you that day at the mall. But now... I look forward to seeing you every week. It's become more than just a casual thing for me."
Y/N felt her breath catch. "Felix..."
He took a small step closer, his eyes never leaving hers. "I guess what I'm trying to say is... I really like you. More than just a shopping buddy."
A warmth spread through Y/N's chest, and she couldn't help but smile. "I like you too, Felix. A lot."
His face lit up, the nervousness in his eyes replaced with relief and joy. "Really?"
"Really," she confirmed.
Felix grinned, his freckles practically glowing in the fading light. "So, does this mean we can still shop together? But maybe with a few dates thrown in?"
Y/N laughed, her heart full. "Absolutely. Shopping dates it is."
With that, Felix reached for her hand, intertwining their fingers gently. As they stood there in the mall parking lot, Y/N couldn't help but feel like this was the start of something even more special—a weekly tradition that had blossomed into something real and full of possibility.
