This is following a fan fic that I read, but for context, Anakin stayed with the light side, but not before order 66 could be carried out. So, him, Obi wan, and a pregnant Padme, found refuge and 19 years later and the twins are now Jedi and part of a rebel group, living on a
base located on a lively planet.

The Empire has finally found the Rebels and are attacking, while Palpatine goes to a clearing to end Anakin.

Palpatine stepped out of the ship that brought him to this clearing. Wood, trees, and life contrasted against his dark hood. Not that it was particularly stronger in either side of the force, but Castes was not a place a Sith Lord would envy. The planet seemed full of hope and rebellion, and thus an opportunity to snuff it out. The opportunity came as he could feel Anakin's force signature coming closer, along with another.

'Kenobi' he thought to himself. No matter, he would end Kenobi's life just as quickly as he had done with the other Jedi. As the ship flew away and the view of Anakin came into sight, Palpatine stood still, waiting for the exchange.

Anakin looked different than he had almost two decades ago. He still wore long Jedi robes, but he had grown his hair longer to the point where he kept it in a small bun, and he had grown a short beard and mustache. It looked quite similar to Obi Wan's. Internally, his force signature felt different too; calmer, wiser, less of the agony he always seemed to carry with him when he was younger despite whatever circumstances he found himself in. Actually, what Anakin radiated most now was love and responsibility.

Looking to his right, Palpatine noticed someone much younger than he expected. It was a boy who accompanied Anakin, and seeing them together, it clicked. 'His son! Of course!' After all the Jedi had died and Palpatine established his new Empire, he almost forgot about Padme's pregnancy. This boy's signature read almost as strong as his father's. He was powerful, that was for sure, but surely experience was something Palpatine could use against him.

"I see you have trained yourself an apprentice, Skywalker." Palpatine spat, before he smirked. "How difficult for you, given your own lack of parental care."

Anakin remained calm as he pulled out his lightsaber and ignited a blue blade, waiting for the battle. Luke looked to his dad as he pulled his own green lightsaber into grip. Luke studied his father's lack of reaction and then focused back on Palpatine.

Intrigued by the calm the Jedi master held, Palpatine pushed a little deeper. "Well, your son can die the same way your mother did, knowing you failed him!" Palpatine shot lightning at Luke, only for it to be blocked by his lightsaber.

'Interesting' Palpatine thought.

As he withdrew and pulled out his lightsaber, Palpatine raced to block a blow from Anakin. Pushed back, Anakin took another swing at him with power. Now, Palpatine could feel a little anger rise from his opponent. The Emperor blocked again as this time Luke came up as well and strike.

The battle was ferocious and full of power. As Anakin swung and kicked, Palpatine dodged again and again, leaping over Jedi to get the jump on them. However, Luke continued to block Palpatine's attacks on Anakin.

Palpatine used the force to drive Luke back so he could kill the master, but to no avail. It was quite evenly matched. Anakin had grown in power and so had Luke, so much so as they kept the Emperor on his toes.

They were all getting tired, hoping for a break to come, a victory. Anakin's hair had started to fall out of the bun as sweat dripped off the skin of all three warriors. Palpatine noticed that the more he attacked Luke, the angrier Anakin became, earning harder and more powerful attacks.

Scrapes, cuts, and burns showed on limbs as BOOMS were heard in the background. Despite their enemies large number of forces, the Rebel's had one thing over the Empire. Aim. The rebels were winning. So much so that Obi Wan, Leia, Han, Chewie, and Padme were on their way to go find Anakin and Luke.

After having just about enough of this, Luke lunged for an opening, only for Palpatine to react quickly. Palpatine twirled his lightsaber and cut off Luke's right hand as the green saber flew to the ground. Palpatine then force pushed Luke into a tree, where an audible crack sounded.
