This is an old fan fiction draft that I'm actually trying to rewrite. Anyway I plan to update regularly if yall like it, so be on look out for new chapters.
Time seemed to slow down as Luke's body fell and both the Emperor and the Jedi stared at the boy. Horrified, Anakin forced jumped towards Luke. Palpatine took this opportunity to breathe and rest as he watched.
Anakin pulled Luke's body over his bent knees as he held his head. Anakin's heart started to ache as he placed his hand on his son's forehead. In the force, Luke's signature became unresponsive, filling Anakin with dread.
"Luke?" Anakin's voice broke as his eyes pulled together and his brows fell.
No response.
"Please, Luke? I need you to- I- I need" Anakin said shaking.
Tears fell from Anakin's eyes as he clenched them together before letting his head fall back. It was no use. Where there has once been a beacon of light in the force, there was now only scattered energy. Luke's body was still, and paling by the second.
Anakin screamed out. His chest and arms shook with him. He wailed again and his body rocked back and forth. He struggled to breath and felt his body fill with torment.
Palpatine watched from afar, smiling to himself and preparing to commence with the second half of the battle.
But time stood still for Anakin. Time stood still as he looked at his son, his child, his baby boy. He saw Luke in his arms on the day of the twins birth. In his arms as he sang him and Leia to bed. In his arms when 10 year old Luke had twisted his ankle and was carried back to the house. In arms when Luke bear hugged him on the day of knight-hood. But Luke would never hug him back again.
Anakin leaned down to kiss his son's temple before slowly pulling him into a hug and sobbed into his neck. All Anakin could feel was pain and agony all over again, but this time much worse. He felt his whole body burn with sorrow. Tears kept on coming and cries escaped Anakin as his one and only son drifted farther and farther away from life.
The pain filled his body and it made him angry. Anger that was different from anything he had ever felt before. Different from losing his mom, losing Obi Wan that when he faked his death, losing Ahsoka when she left the order, fearing for Padme's life because of his visions. Even more powerful than all the pain and anger he felt when the Jedi were massacred.
He placed Luke down and looked up at Palpatine. Anakin's eyes blazed blue as he lifted off the ground, his messy hair now floating around his head. He hadn't even realized but rocks, stones, sand, every thing around him started to lift in the air, Palpatine included. It was as if gravity had started to obey Anakin, as opposed to its own planet.
"nothing......Nothing you have done will hurt as much as this." Anakin seethed. Using the force, he pulled Palpatine into the air, looking like a puppet being controlled by the strings of Anakin's will. Something snapped inside him, something that'd been sitting in the dark, bottom of his gut. Something he'd held back a very long time. And so it came burning out of him, filling his veins, his nerves, all his force senses. It grew ten fold. Anakin could feel the very energy in his own cells as it twisted inside.
Palpatine could sense something had changed, he could feel this rage rising, and he was scared.
"You have done much, hurt much, broken much," Anakin spoke in a low, shaky voice. Gravity gave up its nature and bowed to the star in it's presence. "But nothing will compare to this!"
Eyes glowed and his face twisted with anger as he reached deep around him and latched on to each and every cell in Palpatine's body.
And he pulled.
Each cell in Palpatine's body twisted as they threaten to split in half. Agony did not even begin to describe this feeling. Palpatine screamed and yelled and sent out an energy wave that pulsed. Obi Wan and Leia even felt it as the group ran to find the two male Skywalkers.
Anakin pulled and tore at Palpatine, but not too fast. He would have to feel each and every part of this. And it was the most painful thing anyone had ever felt, to have all the cells in their body torn, one by one. No one knew this level of suffering. Well, except one, because as incredibly painful as this was for Palpatine, it was one tenth of the heartbreak that fueled Anakin.
Minutes had passed by and yet, no amount of screaming or agony that Palpatine felt could satisfy Anakin. Heartbreak, anger, but most of all, pain is what Anakin felt. Such pain at the lost of his son, still coursing through his body.
"ANAKIN!" Padme screamed. The group had finally found the Skywalkers. Pulled from his trance, Anakin pushed with his emotions as he then squished every cell in Palpatine's body, ending in juices, dust, and body matter falling to the ground.
Anakin fell to the ground landing on his feet, as only dust fell around him. With out realizing it, he had also torn all the rock, plants, and dirt suspended in the air with him and Palpatine into only particles.
When Padme and Leia spotted Luke, they ran over to him. Anakin joined as he pulled Luke back into his lap as he looked into Padme's eyes and then into Leia's. Seeing her tear-stain-faced husband, Padme cried out as she collapsed into Leia. Holding on for dear life to her daughter in front of her, Leia returned it as she sobbed into her mother's chest. Han was shocked as he let tears fall from his eyes, and Chewie let out a sad roar. Obi Wan fell to his knees, his own heart breaking. Luke had always remined him of young Anakin, back when things were so much simpler. His nephew had always brought such hope to the family with his cheerful attitude that also mirrored a young Anakin. The Rebels had even won this battle. The group had come to share the success with Anakin and Luke, but instead were left with a new heartbreak.
Anakin sat there holding his sons body in sorrow, distracted by all that he could now feel. With this new power he could now feel the energy in individual cells, but even further than that he could feel atoms.
An idea came to his mind as he unwrapped his left hand from around his son and reached toward the sky. He could feel the different energy waves as they pulsated through the air. Pain and heartbreak had been what he focused on to destroy Palpatine, but he didn't think that would work this time.
Love. That was what he needed. He pulled a memory from his mind.
