Just a Little Bit of Normal

"Benvenuto al Santo Regis Dottore Deluca-Bishop.  Le tue camere sono pronte e il fattorino prendera le tue borse."
"Grazie. E le nostre prenotazioni per la cena?"
"Si, otto di sera come richiesto."
"Perfetco.  Grazie."
The hotel manager nodded and gestured for the bellhop to take the group to the elevators.  Carina slid her arm through Maya's as Kate and Lucy flanked them on each side.  Maya turned to Kate and arched an eyebrow.
"What are you doing? Go hold her hand!"
Kate continued scanning the lobby, not making eye contact with Maya.
"Not now.  Lucy got a text from Tennent that Ernie picked up a phone call right after the explosion.  It was a burner but the call pinged off of Tommy Yang's private cell tower.  They were watching...hell, they probably caused the explosion.  We need to be alert for right now.  Once you and Carina are settled in your room, Lucy and I will come down and do a sweep.  Please Maya, just stay with your wife and let me be the risk taker, ok?"
Carina leaned over  behind Maya's back and smiled at Kate as the group stopped and waited for the elevator doors to open.
"Don't worry, I'll keep her safe and occupied."

"Oh!"
Carina pulled back from Maya's embrace and grabbed at her abdomen as Maya looked on alarmed.
"What's wrong? Are you ok?"
Carina smiled as she took Maya's hand, pressed it against her skin and waited. A moment later Maya's eyes went wide and tears started to form as she looked at Carina.
"Oh my...that's our baby moving in there!"
"Wait...there, feel that?"
"Ahhh! They are both moving!"
Maya kept her hand on Carina's stomach as she bent down and put her lips to her wife's skin.
"Hi my little loves, it's me, your mom. Are you both having fun in there? We want you to know that Mommy and I love you both so much. I want you to be good and grow nice and strong together ok?"
Maya kissed Carina's stomach twice as she felt the movement again before straightening back up and tenderly taking Carina's face in her hands, pulling her close and kissing her with a deep and tender passion.
"You are so amazing and I am so in love with you."
Carina smiled and kissed Maya back as the baby girls growing inside of her happily kept moving around.

"I haven't seen anything, you?"
"No, and I checked the sub basement and parking garage as well. I think we're clear here, so I guess we can go up and get ready to go to dinner?"
Kate and Lucy made their way to the elevators and as Kate hit the button, Lucy slid her fingers into Kate's hand and smiled.
"You know, even though we're on the job, I'm still enjoying being engaged to you Kate Whistler."
Kate smiled at Lucy before her smile straightened.
"Listen, I don't want you to feel rushed or stressed about anything. We don't have to do the big wedding or any of the stuff on my mom's vision board. I just want to be with you Lucy, got it?"
The doors opened and they stepped in. Lucy hit the button for their floor and as the doors closed, she pulled Kate down toward her, wrapping her arms around Kate's neck.
"And what if I said I wanted all those things?"
Kate blinked and smiled.
"You've never wanted those things, so I'd say you were pretending for my sake."
Lucy smiled as she stared into Kate's eyes.
"The only thing stressing me is where are we going to get married?"
"What do you mean? I just figured it would be in Hawaii, right?"
"True, that would be the default place, but we now have friends who live in Seattle AND have a gorgeous villa in the south of Italy. I'd say that our choices have seriously expanded."
"True and don't forget, Maya said that her and Carina got married in a Polish restaurant. So I guess we really do have a bunch of options. But let's get through this tour with our friends and go back home so we can let everyone know. Then we can start to figure out what to do next. How's that sound?"
Lucy nodded and kissed Kate as the elevator doors dinged and began to open where two men were standing there waiting as Kate and Lucy untangled themselves and smiled. Lucy moved to step off the elevator.
"Sorry!"
One of the men smiled and nodded as Lucy grabbed Kate's hand and pulled her off so they could get on. As the doors closed, Kate took a glance back and saw the men talking and pointing.
"Kate? Everything ok?"
"Huh? Oh yeah, I guess....just being overly cautious. Come on, I know you're starving and I don't want to keep Maya and Carina waiting."

"Yes that's fine...ok sure...no, I won't need additional security...ok great....yes..."
Carina came out of the bathroom and stood watching Maya on her phone conference.  Their dinner with Kate and Lucy had been refreshingly quiet and filled with easy conversation and Carina was feeling happy to see Maya so relaxed.  The next several days were going to be nonstop as Carina had back to back hospital tours and speaking engagements.  But once finished, they would be heading to Greece and Carina would be able to enjoy some relaxation as Maya dealt with a bunch of engagements for the Olympics.  Turning the light off, she crossed to the bed and laid down as Maya finished her call.  Maya had rearranged several appearances to accommodate being with Carina while she finished up in Italy, even though Carina had assured her that she would be fine and that they would only be separated for a few days.  But Maya was insistent that she didn't want to leave her alone, even with Kate and Lucy back with them. 
"Maya...vieni qui amore mio."
Maya turned and smiled as she stood from the chair, took a few steps and climbed into bed, propping herself up on her arm as she looked at Carina.
"I think I pissed off a couple of officials, but I did manage to condense my appearances into about four days.  So I'm going to be super busy when we get to Greece, but it'll be ok. Listen, I don't want you to feel like you have to show up for each one, I want you to rest, ok?  The hotel has a private beach and Katie said the security there is really good."
"Maya, I want to go to as many of your events as I can.  I want our girls to hear everything, even if they don't know what you're saying.  I wish Liam was with us, but in light of everything, I think it was smart to leave him with Zia Sophia.  Oh, that reminds me, I will have to do some little bit of family business when we get to Greece."
Maya had been tracing hearts on Carina's stomach as she was talking but stopped to look at her wife.
"When? Where?"
"It's fine Bambina, trust me.  I'm having the meeting at their warehouse.  Raphael asked me to meet with some of the Greek importers about some product distribution.  I set it up for the morning that you are doing that workout demo since I won't be able to do it too."
Carina looked down and rubbed her growing abdomen as she blew out a breath.  Maya smiled as she leaned over and kissed Carina gently.
"The girls really are starting to grow, aren't they?"
"Oh my God yes! It's like every hour they get bigger!"
"Well, I don't know about every hour...but every day for sure."
"I'm going to be so big soon you'll have to roll me out of the room."
"I'm sure it won't come to that, but we definitely have to start thinking about how the rest of our tours are going to go.  Because I don't want to wait to the last minute before flying home."
"Speaking of home, how are the house repairs going?  I do love you so much for making sure nobody sends me pictures, but I am curious."
"Andy sent me pictures while we were at dinner.  I think you're going to be happy."
Carina took Maya's face in her hands and pulled her close, kissing her deeply.  Maya returned the kiss and laid back as Carina moved to roll on top of her, never letting their lips separate for more than a moment.  The passion was building when Carina suddenly pulled away and started laughing as Maya looked at her questioningly.
"What is it?"
"Our little bambina's are interrupting sexy time.  They don't like the pressure."
Maya chuckled as she laid Carina on her back and smiled mischievously.
"Well then, I guess I'm just going to have to do all the work for a while.  Do you think you can handle that doctor?"
Carina bit her lower lip and smiled as she nodded.  Maya moved to a push up position above Carina, careful not to put her body weight down as she kissed her wife's lips and began kissing her way down Carina's body.  She stopped at her wife's growing stomach and spoke softly.
"Listen, I'm going to need you both to go to sleep now because you're mamma and I are going to need a minute."
Carina laughed lightly as Maya kept moving  until she kissed the inside of her thighs before burying her head between them, turning Carina's laugh into moans of pleasure as she grabbed at the sheets and gave in to the soft sensation of Maya's mouth and tongue inside of her.
