BEFORE THE STORM:
8:30ish PM

It had been a warm and humid summer day in Kansas City. Travis had been at training camp a good majority of the day, while Taylor had ran errands herself and enjoyed the cool air conditioning inside his large house, with her cats of course.

Once the two were back together, they had spent a Friday night date night in downtown KC at a nice private restaurant. Enjoying the meal, they had returned home safely, as Taylor saw storm clouds in the distance.

"Looks like a storm is coming soon trav." She had said. Taylor's always been a fan of rain & thunder. It was so cool seeing the clouds get all dark & the smell of rain smelled so satisfying. "O-oh yeah it does." Travis replied, trying not to be so nervous.

Taylor had continued to look at the amusing sky in the distance while Travis did as well, knee bouncing a bit. About 30 minutes later, the couple had returned home in Travis's mansion.

Since it had been an exhausting hot day, the couple had gone upstairs and got ready for bed. Taylor had done her nighttime routine after showering while Travis just got in there. When he was done, he got in his pajamas and met Taylor by the mirror.

"Here travvy." Taylor smiled, handing him his toothbrush. After finishing up brushing their teeth, the two had started heading towards the bedroom until...the power went out. Both of them freezing in their footsteps, taylor had gasped.

"Trav do your backup generators work?" Taylor asked. "N-no, I've been meaning to have someone come out." He said nervously. "Oh." She replied, also noticing that Travis was practically grabbing on for dear life on her shoulders. "Travis that hurts a bit." She said. "O-oh, I'm so sorry." Immediately letting go as he took her hand.
