Out-break

I am not supposed to be alive. It was a mistake, and now I may be our only last hope. It was years ago since the outbreak happened, since the virus took over. Now, I fear I am but one of the only people left.

You see unlike how you live now almost virus free, we had to struggle to make the cure, but instead of getting it to work we only made everything worse. People kept getting sick, coughing and sneezing turned into something far more deadlier. I can assume you have already guessed the name of such vicious illness, because nothing is worse than coronavirus. The vaccines where supposed to be the savior of humanity, but it was only Earth's downfall.

It was one after another, soldier or doctor it didn't matter because you wouldn't make it anyway. With the loss in numbers, out planet changed drastically, you may not even recognize it now. Wild life swarms the planet and trees and nature stole the land we once walked on. It was clear a new age was starting. Animals started to evolve and grow, as our numbers rotted away.

The survivors had to go into hiding far from everyone, and just like that we were all isolated. Perhaps only 100 people left, but of course such numbers always went down, if I were to guess there would be about 20 people now.

I was born into this new age, I never saw the days where you would drive around or hang out with your friends. I've never even had the chance to socialize. No parents, no home, no way out of this mess. I have been surviving any way I can which is off the city, or what ever is left of it. Houses and buildings are covered in plants and vines that run up and down the structures like veins. Small animals scavenge the ruin remains looking for any type of food. Sidewalks are covered in various plants and deadly weeds. All electricity has run out, meaning the only source of brightness is natural light, but lately non of that has been happening. It's been crazy extreme weather conditions. Storms power though everything tearing down cities. Our planet is not recovering, it's only getting worse. I am scared for my life, for our planet, for anyone left alive. Living here isn't a miracle anymore, its only a death-wish.
