She was just finished teaching the two children some new math, rewarding them with some painting and flower crowns, keeping her hood up to avoid the sun when it started to burn.

"Im just going to go pick some more strawberries for lunch you two, then we'll head home, stay with Debbie"

Onyx spoke, gesturing to the timber wolf before giving both a quick hug and walking deeper into the fields, enjoying the peaceful sounds of birds chirping, some bees buzzing and the sound of the flower bushes beneath her feet ruffling.

Soon enough she found the strawberry bushes, grinning slightly with joy as she hummed and picked a few, putting them into a small basket she'd beought along with the other berries already inside, but just as she stood she heard a twing snap, looking around to see nothing and letting out a shuddered breath and looking up, the sky was already beginning to dim.

Onyx just quickly made her way back to the open fields, hearing another snap behind her and quickening her pace back to the children but they were gone and the wolf was left a pile of wood, she scanned around as panic set in.

"Niki! Ranboo!"

She called, looking everywhere but they weren't in sight at all, summoning her shadow owl to search from the skies as he quickly crouched down next to the wooden pile, placing her hands on it and starting to revive the beast.

Soon enough, the wood began to reconnect as the wolf rebuilt and got up, Onyx slowly raised.

"Find them."

She spoke, the wolf quickly began to sniff and search, finding a scent and following it until it lead to a campsite with both children tied to a tree looking hurt and like they'd been crying, Ranboos cheeks all burned and Nikis eyes all red, the sight felt like a jab to HER heart.

"Distract them"

Onyx whispered to the wolf that quickly ran out with a howl and began to fight with the group of hunters, she ran quickly to the children and shushed that as he undid the rope binding them to the tree, murmuring another spell that sent the two back home.

Then the hybird slowly and quietly approached a hunter from behind slipping her blade over his neck in seconds as she brought body down slowly before creeping up on others, taking them out one by one but then she heard a crossbow click, knowing he'd been seen.

"Hands up!"

The hunter yelled, alerting the others as they quickly loaded weakness arrows and shot, mkst mjssed but one managed to shoot off almost half of one of her antlers.

"Motherfucker..."

Onyx mumbled before just taking out whatever potions she had and splashing them on the hunters fast, using her magic to pull them to her then she'd kill them with her sword, slowly forming hex after hex until the hunters were unknowingly surrounded.

The witch laughed, stepping back then just making everything within the markings burn, including the men, she just stood watching as the timber wolf returned to her side, sitting.
