Having captured the heir of the Tsukikage clan for his sinister plans, Danzo now needs to deceive the 3rd Hokage into believing his tale.
Danzo moved swiftly through the dense forest, the heir cradled securely in his arms, contemplating the story he would weave to convince Hiruzen without arousing suspicion.
After reaching the Village Hidden in the Leaves, Danzo made his way directly to the Hokage’s office, the heir still safely in his arms. He ensured his expression was one of urgency and concern as he approached Hiruzen.
Danzo : "Hiruzen,” (his voice steady but with an edge of tension) ,“something unexpected happened . It wasn’t supposed to happen.”
Hiruzen looked up, his eyes narrowing with concern. “What do you mean, Danzo?”
Danzo took a deep breath, ensuring his story was convincing. “It was as if they had inside information about our defenses and tactics."
Lord 3rd : With a mix of doubt and sorrow, Lord 3rd asked, “Danzo, are you telling me that the mighty Tsukikage clan was entirely wiped out by the Kagekumo clan?”
Danzo : Yes, Hiruzen,” Danzo said, “I can’t believe it either.” Hiroshi informed me that their powers weakened due to the theft of the lunar crystal. That’s likely why they were killed by the Kagekumo clan during the fortress attack. The Kagekumo clan, furious over their leader’s death, annihilated the Tsukikage clan. When we found Hiroshi’s wife, she was barely conscious and asked us to save her daughter, the clan’s heir. We tried, but it was too late. To protect hiroshi's wife, so we took the heir and left ."
Lord 3rd : Ah, I see. What are your thoughts, Elders ?”
Elder 1 : “We trust Danzo. As for the Tsukikage clan, we must safeguard the heir since they were our allies.”
Elder 2: “What should we do with her? We need to keep her identity hidden to protect her from any threats.”
Danzo (thinking): “To use her powers against the Uchiha, I need her to trust me completely. Keeping her close is essential. Should I adopt her as my daughter? (smirking wickedly) No one will suspect, and she will be my loyal daughter. (internally smirking)”
Danzo: “I believe Hiroshi’s wife entrusted me with the duty to protect their daughter. Therefore, I will honor her last words and safeguard their daughter as my own. From now on, she will be known as Danzo’s daughter.”
Lord 3rd (skeptically): “How will this ensure her safety? And why must she be your daughter?” (he stresses). “Everyone knows you don’t have a daughter, so it will raise suspicions.”
Danzo: “She will stay protected under my watch, and you know how secretive my association is. I guarantee no one will suspect a thing. We won’t present her to the village, so her identity will remain hidden. She will be my daughter to provide her with the family she lost. She will train under my supervision and later join my Anbu squad, ‘Root.’ This will be our secret, known only to you, me, and the elders, Hiruzen.”
Elder 1: “I like this plan. Danzo will definitely be able to keep her a secret, ensuring no one can harm her.”
Elder 2 : I agree
Lord 3rd (with a heavy heart): “Very well, she will be known as Danzo’s daughter from now on, and we will keep this confidential. But I reserve the right to visit her anytime I want, to ensure her well-being.” (he commands)
Danzo (nodding in agreement): “Absolutely, you are welcome to come and check on her whenever you wish. She will be well-guarded and safe, now that she is my daughter.”
Danzo ( thinking) : just as planned and smirks a little.
