bro ik some of yall haven't seen my rant, but i have a small rant in my trivia awards in the "please read" section.
hosts nowadays are asking for votes on their own personal books as payments. this is outrageous.
i get asking for a follow. i don't get asking for a permanent one however and on top of that asking for votes on their books. that's just straight up saying "im needy for fame."
it's crazy but its against wattpad's terms of use yall.
on top of that, i saw something related to this.
one of the award hosts i follow (for an awards that my book is in) had a particular request from one of their judges to change their personal payment.
in this award of theirs judges ask for payments (follows/votes/comments) — which if you ask me it's totally weird since i've never seen that before but you do you.
this user told the host that they wanted to change their payment. originally it was to get permanent follows, but they realized that most of the participants already followed them so they told the host "i want to change the payments to get votes on my book to boost its algorithm"
BRO WHAT??
the host replied that they couldn't change the payment since everyone was already following the judge because of it and the JUDGE REPLIED SAYING:
"funny how im not getting anything in return for the work.."
DUDE WTF???
YOUR WORK MUST BE PHD LEVEL STUFF BRO IDK??
THIS USER WOULD FLIP OUT IF THEY SAW THAT I HAVE NEVER GIVEN MY JUDGES ANYTHING IN RETURN. LMAO
guys come on, i love my judges. they do a great job, but i've never given them more than a "thank you so much" because it just wasn't a thing.
now judges can ask for payments too which is crazy. like, if you ask for payments at least do something that doesn't make you seem needy.
