As I laid in the uncomfortable prison bed, I reveled in my first kill. It was... Amazing. After I had finished, I drug him to the river and gave him a viking funeral to dispose entirely of his body.

"Hey, hey James." I heard a voice whisper. I looked around and saw nothing, probably due to the lack of light.

"Come here" the voice whispered again.

I crept to the other side of my cell. "Who are you?" I asked.

"A friend."

"And does this friend know who he speaks to?"

"Yes."

"What do you want?*

"To help a friend out."

"And how do you plan on that?" I asked as he handed me a bottle.

"Take two of those. You'll be happier."

I asked him, "What is it?"

"Molly." He followed up, "Just take two, it'll get you through the night."

After that, I heard his footsteps retreat into the darkness, presumably his bed.

I ripped a small hole into my mattress as a hiding place, then obeying him I took two pills.

I'm feeling absolutely nothing. Maybe I should take another, I mean, its been about a half hour so if I take another it'll start working.

I took one more Molly, then another, then I laid down for a while.

I saw a quick movement in the corner of my eye. What the hell is that? I turned and saw, the boy from the trial? What is he doing here? Wait, if he got in unnoticed, that means I could leave unnoticed too.

I whispered, "How in the hell did you get in here?"

He just stood there, giving me a blank stare. I felt like he was penetrating my soul.

Soul? What soul do you, a murderer, have?

I asked him, "Who are you? And how did you get inside my head?" I was ignored.

I have been around all man's existence. I am the first man. I am Death.

I just stood there skeptically and said, "prove it."

Then the man who had given me the Molly started yelling in agony, his shouts becoming more and more gargled, then they stopped.

Is that proof enough? He looked at me waiting for a response as I simply nodded my head in shock. You must attone for your sins. "How?" By ridding the world of those like you, then finish with yourself. "I'm not going to kill myself, but I will gladly kill others" I say as I grin. Fine. But you will still die on the twenty-second of this May. This is your fate, your destiny and cannot be changed.

I started feeling drowsy and as I started to slip out of consciousness, Death seemed go evaporate.

Goddamn, that molly fucked me up. I thought I saw My wife and parents. I'm just glad that the high has passed.

"So then I told Jimmy- No, you're my bitch- then I stabbed him in his eye with my fork and took my new meal." God, Rudy never shuts up. Not here in the mess hall, not in the yard, not even in our cells at night! I can hear him from across the prison while I try to sleep.

"Rudy, do you ever stop talking?" I asked him.

"Why would I? You're not my boss, you're not God, so fuck off, Dangler." he retorted mockingly.

I just looked at him, shooting daggers through his soul, and left.

I sauntered over to my cell, pissed that I'll be alone and in prison on New Year's. As I reached my cell, I saw a figure standing in the doorway, wearing all black jeans and a pure black hoodie.

Time to start your Retribution, James.

I scanned the immediate area, looking for any guards or inmates. Death and I were the only ones there.

Ignoring my lack of a reply, Death stated, The first you must kill is that you call Jimmy. He was jailed for repeated DUIs, each of which ended with thousands of dollars needed in repairs. But that is not why he needs to die. He has raped seven women, and has not been punished. You need to change that.

I nodded my head and said, "I would enjoy killing that pompous asshole very much." With that, Death dissipated, and I started towards my next kill.

Finally, we're alone. Just you, me, and my fork I stole. We were in the laundry room and he was changing loads, as I was crouched behind the doorway to the room.

I slowly crept up to him, then as I was right behind him, I stood up and started to cover his mouth to muffle his screams. I was too slow. Shitshitshitshit. He threw a punch, but I dodged it. I quickly got by his left side, held him still, and stomped on the side of his knee, breaking his leg. He the lunged at me with strength from his other leg and tackled me. He got his hands on my throat. I reached up and instead of prying his hands off me, I shoved my thumb into his eye. I hadn't clipped my finger nails for a while, so I penetrated his eyelid. He growled, putting more weight on me, while I shoved my thumb further and further until he let go. Then I squirmed around so I was behind him, grabbed a handful of his hair, and bashed his skull against the cement floor.

God, I love the sound of a cranium shattering.

Once he stopped struggling, I covered a washcloth in bleach, and took it to an outlet. I unplugged the dryer as I pushed the washcloth onto the electrically charged prongs. The washcloth caught fire. I then opened Jimmy's mouth and shoved the flaming rag into it, forever silencing Jimmy.
