You bounced your leg nervously, Bakugo Katsuki. That's the boy who you were supposed to fight in a few minutes. Iida had already been beaten by Todoroki so your match was coming up.
You were nervous, usually you'd be confident in your abilities but his quirk was difficult. You'd seen the struggle that Uraraka had because of her quirk.
You had a contact quirk and he had a close to long range quirk, it was going to be really difficult to get your hands on him.
You were just hoping that he didn't know what your quirk was, but you knew that the countless articles and videos about you that were made by the media gave him an advantage.

You stood across from Bakugo, fear filled your mind and you clenched your hands.
How were you going to do this? How are you going to prove to everyone that you're strong when your opponent has so many strengths.
"Start!" You watched him stand still, probably waiting for you to attack. You knew if you didn't then he would send an explosion from afar.
You kicked the ground, dirt coming up and making a small little hole in the ground. He stared at you as if you were crazy, you were pretty sure that was what everyone else thought too.
But Bakugo Katsuki was smart, aware and strong and might catch on to your plan. But you always need to have two plans, especially with a strong opponent.
You continued to kick the dirt up and everyone was silent, this match seems so boring.
This helped your plan, Bakugo was impatient and ran towards you. You slammed your hands into the ground until a large crack formed.
Bakugo was closing in and you lifted a piece of the ground up and threw it at him, just to slow him down.
He exploded it quickly and sent an explosion at you, you waited for the exact moment to dodge.
His explosion damaged the floor that you had dug up, he sent more explosions at you and you dodged most. Keyword:most.
You felt a painful sting against your side and you grabbed it in pain, that wasn't in your plan. It burned badly but you shook your head and moved behind him.
He whipped his body around and went to swing his right arm, you grabbed a piece of the floor and watched it blow up.
Effectively, it went in his eyes as you covered yours. You kicked the floor aggressively and made a large hole.
Bakugo was just done blinking away the debris and went to go attack you.
You moved back towards the bounds and Bakugo went to send an explosion to send you out but his foot landed in the hole and bended weirdly.
You elbowed him in the arm and went to punch him but he sent an explosion off in your face and it felt like fire had covered your face.
He sent another explosion at your stomach, you managed to graze his hand as he sent an explosion.
"What the-" He quickly realized and punched you, your face turned to the side and you could tell that a bruise was forming.
He tried to get ahold of your hand but you closed them up into fists.
You ran to the opposite side of the arena and he ran behind you, quickly getting closer. "Come back! Thief!" He huffed angrily.
He went to knee you but you dodged and turned around, punching him in the face.
He caught you off guard and flipped you onto your back, getting on top of you and digging his knee into your stomach.
He slammed your hand into the ground as you turned your head and sunk your teeth into his arm.
He managed to touch your hand, blood was dripping down his arm and your teeth were strained red at the tips.
An explosion hit your knee and arm, you gritted your teeth as you stood up.
He sent another explosion at your face and you bit your lip in pain as you lunged at him.
He dodged and hit you with an explosion as you stood up. "Ready to give up? Or die?" You clenched your fists and went to attack but he went in the air and sent an explosion at your back.
You flew towards the bounds but you fell next to it. SNAP! Your body froze and realized that you had fell on your leg.
You whimpered in pain as you struggled to get up.
You eventually did get up and lunged at him, you could tell that Nana Chiyo was pissed while watching this in the infirmary.
He dodged and sent an explosion that twisted your arm weirdly and you cried out.
You grabbed his shirt and slammed his body into the ground with all the power you had left, the smoke from explosions was definitely making you dizzy.
You punched him in the face with your none broken arm as he was getting up, it looked more like a slap.
He got up and went to send an explosion but two things stopped him.
(1) His quirk was gone.
(2) You had fell to the floor in exhaustion.
You clenched your left fist and curled up in anger, you wanted to win so bad. You want to be strong like your father, Uraraka, Mirai(nighteye.) and to prove that you were more than just your father's child and your pretty face.
Midnight walked over and bent down. "Hunny, can you move?" She placed a hand on your back and you nodded.
"Just give me a second." You snapped and got up, limping towards Bakugo. He lifted his right fist up a bit.
"I can't do it, Auntie Nemuri. I'm going to pass out." You grumbled and looked down, your vision became like static and the world spun.
Your knees buckled and Midnight caught your falling body. "[Y/N] Yagi is KO'ed! Katsuki Bakugo advances to the next round."
Bakugo's face twisted in anger and went to shake you awake but Midnight shook her head as you went in and out of consciousness.

You stood on a little platform next to Bakugo who was chained up, it was...strange.
Your father had woken you up out of nowhere and carried you to the platform, for the award ceremony? You were still feeling a bit fuzzy.
Your arm was in a sling, your leg was in a cast, your waist was wrapped in bandage and you were holding an ice pack to your cheek. You looked like you had been beaten.
In reality, the only major injuries were your broken arm and leg. And that was going to be healed by Nana Chiyo once you got enough stamina.
The platforms went up and the arena came into view, so did your smiley best friend. But his smile faded once he saw Bakugo thrashing around like an animal.
"Tenya Iida actually shares the third place award with Yagi, but he had to leave for family reasons." Your eyebrows knit together, was he okay?
Your father landed in front of you three and walked up to you. "You were so strong up there! I'm proud to say that you're my daughter!" He patted you on the shoulder and a feeling of happiness washed over your face.
He placed the medal around your neck and posed for the paparazzi, you were proud of your victory. Even if you could've gotten better.
