Chapter 10- Comparisons

Adrien and Marinette were both headed to the grocery store to get some food for the house.

And Adrien was planning on going to a jewelry store to purchase a ring for Marinette.

Yes...... he's about to pop the question.

They've been dating for a few months now and he wants to take that next big step in their relationship.

He felt like it was too soon.....but then another part of him couldn't wait to propose to her.

She was definitely the person he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.

Marinette and Adrien stepped into the store. Adrien told Marinette to look for some toothpaste since they were out.

Marinette walked around the store surveying every part.

She came to a stop when she remembered that they were out of floss too.

She turned around and quickly jogged in the direction to where she last saw the floss on the shelves.

"Ahaaaa!", she shouted triumphantly as she saw the pack of floss on the top shelf.

She started reaching for it but realized she couldn't reach it. She didn't hear the footsteps behind her.

Marinette jumped on her tippy toes and stretched her hand out as far as she could. But no matter how much she strectched she couldn't reach.

Marinette felt someone grab the floss from the top shelf. She turned around to see a guy with deep blue eyes with messy black hair staring down at her. 

He was wearing a black button up shirt with matching black pants.

If Marinette had to guess she would say he was an actor..... definitely was dressed like one.

As for his posture.....Marinette was intrigued at this stranger's outward appearance. He looked like a movie star.

"I think this is yours", he said in a soft tone while handing her the floss. He had a familiar accent that Marinette couldn't quite place.

"Yeah....thanks", Marinette replied. She nervously looked down at the ground to avoid his gaze, she felt like he was staring into her soul with those eyes.

Adrien watched from far away, and saw everything that happened.

Immediately he started comparing himself to the guy in front of Marinette.

The guy literally looked like he came straight out of a movie, while Adrien felt like he belonged in a trash can.

He sighed softly, feeling a heavy weight on his chest. He then walked out of the store.
