The last novel ended on quite the cliffhanger, didn't it? The Crimson Stripe shot The Sin Hunter's protege, beat a Ruler of Hell in combat and walked away whistling a tune. Seems like this guy knows what he's doing. But there's one piece of the puzzle he still needs. Sure, terrorists, guns and fear are keeping him in power and the Overlords out of the picture, but that serum Bile invented...he needs to get his hands on that, or everything will have been for nothing.
The Sin Hunter and his team have split paths to cover as much ground as possible. Wrench and Jack occupy Greed's barricades with Eleanor joining The Sin Hunter in the Living World to close it off from outside, Cynthia and Shrap have departed for Gluttony to aid The Vizier, Crow and Satan traveled to Envy's rift to seal it away, and Deck's family have gathered at Lucifer's mansion to bring a very wounded and unconscious Jules for some medical magic.
As for the other characters...you'll meet them soon, if you can survive long enough.
