"Bel-Air Academy, huh? Man, this place is like a college," Will says, eyes wide as he walks alongside Carlton toward the football field, taking in the manicured lawns, towering buildings, and students dressed in sharp uniforms.

"Top 5 high schools in the nation," Carlton responds with a proud smirk. "Damn," Will mutters, still soaking in the luxury that radiates from every corner of the campus. "If you're really here for a better education, then jackpot. Oh, and we also have the best lacrosse program in LA," Carlton adds, flashing a cocky grin like he's the one who built the program himself.

"Wow, a lacrosse flex. Nice," Will deadpans, patting Carlton on the back. "Just what I came to LA for." Will adds in."Look, we have a different set of rules here, okay? If you want to do well, just keep your head down and follow my lead. Trust me—" carlton says but gets cut off by will. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold up. Now I know you didn't just tell me to follow your lead." Will says interrupting him.

Carlton turns, crossing his arms and giving Will a slightly annoyed look while still trying to maintain his composure. "Uh, yeah. I kinda run this place, Will."

Before Will can respond, a sharp whistle blows, pulling their attention to the field. Carlton glances back at Will with a smirk. "Catch you later, cheese eggs," he says, jogging off to join his teammates, leaving Will standing there. Will spreads his arms in confusion, calling after him. "Yo, what am I supposed to do?" Carlton glances back, already blending in with his team. "As long as it doesn't involve embarrassing me or my family, go for it. Frolic, be creative. Just meet me in the locker room at 3:00—I'll introduce you to the guys!" he shouts before disappearing into the group.

Will shakes his head, watching Carlton for a moment before deciding to explore the campus on his own. As he wanders, the distant sound of a violin catches his ear, standing out against the usual hum of student chatter and sports activity. Intrigued, he follows the music, weaving through the pathways and manicured gardens, the sound growing clearer and more captivating with each step. It leads him to a secluded courtyard, where a girl stands with a violin, playing with a grace that leaves Will speechless. He leans against a pillar, listening, a small smile tugging at his lips as he takes in the unexpected beauty of the moment in this strange new world.

As Tia finishes her piece, Will starts clapping, drawing her attention. She turns around, slightly surprised but pleased. "Hey, I didn't mean to spy on you, but you played beautifully," Will says with a genuine smile. "Thank you," Tia replies, her face lighting up with a smile. "I'm Will," he says, extending his hand. Tia looks at him, then shakes his hand warmly. "Tiara, but you can call me Tia," she introduces herself, still smiling. "Okay Tia where tamera?" Will says jokingly causing Tia to shake her head. "My tamera is in swim practice right about now" Tia answers. "Who's your sister?" Will asks. "Her name is Lisa" Tia says as Will nods. "Yeah I think I met her" Will says recalling the moment.

Tia's eyes briefly scans his outfit. "Not gonna lie, I'm diggin' the jersey and the kicks. Cuts quite a figure from a distance," she compliments, making will arch an eyebrow playfully. "Oh yeah?" Will responds, intrigued, leaning in just a bit closer. "How about up close?"

Tia hums, pretending to consider his question thoughtfully, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "Yeah, it's pretty nice up close too, I guess," she says with a growing smile, making them both chuckle. "Oh, you guess, huh?" Will replies, sucking his teeth playfully, which earns him another laugh from Tia. "You know, you look pretty good too," Will flirts, his tone light but confident. Tia chuckles, tilting her head. "Oh, you think so?" she teases, enjoying the playful banter.

"Of course," Will shoots back with a flirty grin, holding her gaze as they share the moment.

...

"Hey, I heard there's a beach party tonight. You pulling up?" Will asks as Tia starts putting her violin back in her case. "I don't know. My sister kinda dated Carlton, and us going together might stir up some drama I really don't need," she says honestly, causing Will to suck his teeth.

"I mean, I wasn't asking you to be my girl or nothing—just wanted to know if you were going to the party," he teases, making her smile. "Funny... I'll think about it," Tia responds just as the bell rings, pulling both of them back to reality. "I gotta go," she says, reluctantly getting up and grabbing her violin case, already packed during their chat. Will stands too, offering her a warm smile. "Yeah, no problem. It was cool hanging out."

"Same here. See you around, Will?" Tia asks, with a smile. "For sure," Will replies with a nod, watching as she heads off. They linger for a moment, eyes meeting one last time before parting ways. "Okay Nice," he mutters to himself, still watching her as she walks away.

...

Will heads to the locker room to meet up with Carlton, but when he walks in, he spots Carlton dancing to Bobby Shmurda, his face scrunching up in disapproval. Conner's rapping loudly, filling the room with lyrics that make Will shake his head.

"Ah, ah, ah! Jahlil Beats, holla at me. And Truey on some hot n*gga. Like I talk to Shyste when I shot n*ggas. Like you seen him twirl, then he drop, nigga," Conner raps, causing Will to look at him like he's lost his mind, while Carlton keeps dancing along.

"Hey, yo. Ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho! Hey, hey, hey, hey. Yo. Watch your mouth, boul," Will interrupts, cutting through their little dance session. "Turn that shit off." Conner instructs before walking up to will.

"Wait, wait, wait. Watch my mouth. Or what?" Conner challenges."Or I'ma watch it for you," Will snaps back, stepping closer. "Yeah, you don't get to say 'nigga.' None of y'all do," Will asserts, turning his glare on all the other white guys in the locker room. "I'm pretty sure I just said it. And I'm also pretty sure I don't know who the f*ck you are." Conner says with a smirk, unfazed.

"How about I show you who I am?" Will says, getting riled up as they both step up to each other, the tension thickening in the room. Carlton quickly steps in, pushing between them. "Stop, relax. This is my cousin Will. He starts at Bel-Air on Monday. Yo, chill the fuck out, dude." Carlton turns to will making will glare at him.

"Yo, you really gonna cosign his bullshit? You know, you a sucker." He says as he shoots Carlton a look of disappointment before storming out of the locker room. "Later, Iverson," Conner taunts as Will walks away, leaving Carlton caught between his cousin and his so-called friends.
