It was a school day, it's was a fencing sport. Meinette watched to Renki, he was so focus on his match. His sweat trickled down his forehead as he parried and thrust, the clanging of swords echoing through the gym. She knew he was good at fencing, but she had never seen him so intense before.
Her eyes couldn't help but drift to the sidelines where Yumana was sitting, her own gaze glued to the match. Meinette felt a strange tension in the air, a pull that was drawing her towards Yumana. She tried to ignore it, to focus on the game at hand, but the feelings were too strong.
"I am the fencing master, Mr. Roman. As I'm sure you're aware, we have only one open spot on the team this year. So, in order to select the best possible candidate, I will observe the beginners performing a number of attacks on the experienced students." The coach's stern voice broke through the buzz of excitement in the gym. Meinette felt a knot tighten in her stomach. She had been practicing so hard, but the pressure was intense.
Yumana looked over at her, a hint of concern in her eyes. Meinette took a deep breath and stepped onto the piste. But then, a figure in red fencing gear stands on the scoring box, carrying a red saber.
"Hey, you! Are you Mr. Roman, the fencing master? I wanna join your team." The figure in red called out, their voice filled with a mix of confidence and challenge. Soon, the figure removes the mask, revealing was a girl, who has a purple short hair and orange eyes, with her fierce and thoughtful personality, Renki is blushed at first sight.
Mr. Roman raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised. "You're a new student, correct? And you wish to challenge for the open spot?"
The girl in red nodded, a smirk playing on her lips. "Yes, I'm Komana. And I've got what it takes to be on this team."
Mr. Roman studied her for a moment, then nodded. "Very well, Komana. Choose your opponent."
Komana's eyes swept over the team members before settling on Renki. "I'll take him," she said, pointing at him with her saber.
Renki's blush deepened as he took his place opposite her, unsure of what to make of the situation. Meinette felt a sudden surge of protectiveness towards him. She knew he was skilled, but this newcomer had an air of confidence that was unnerving.
Somehow, Yumana, using her own mind-reading ability at Meinette's expense, knew exactly what Meinette was feeling. She gave Meinette a nudge and a wink, a silent message of encouragement. Meinette nodded back, trying to keep her own emotions in check.
The match between Renki and Komana began with a flurry of movements. Renki was caught off guard by her opponent's aggression, but he managed to hold his own. The two of them danced around each other, swords clashing with a rhythm that was both mesmerizing and intense. Meinette watched, her heart racing with every hit and miss.
The crowd grew quiet, the only sound being the ring of steel and the occasional grunt of effort. Yumana's eyes darted between Meinette and the match, a knowing smile playing on her lips. Meinette couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy at the attention Renki was receiving from this new and obviously skilled student.
Yumana looked at Meinette, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "This is going to be a good match," she whispered. Meinette nodded, her gaze never leaving the fencers. She was torn between admiring the newcomer's skill and worrying for Renki's safety.
"Sure, me and Renki are having some good love tale for me." Meinette thought to herself, trying to keep her own feelings in check.
With Yumana's mind-reading ability to gauge Meinette's feelings, she leaned in closer. "You like Renki, come to the bathroom first." She whispered, giving Meinette an understanding look. Meinette nodded, feeling both embarrassed and grateful for the intervention."Sure, me and Renki are having some good love tale for me." Meinette thought to herself, trying to keep her own feelings in check.
With Yumana's mind-reading ability to gauge Meinette's feelings, she leaned in closer. "You like Renki, come to the bathroom first." She whispered, giving Meinette an understanding look. Meinette nodded, feeling both embarrassed and grateful for the intervention.
Then, they are going to have a break. Meinette took a deep breath and followed Yumana to the bathroom. She couldn't believe she was feeling this way about a guy, especially not with Yumana right there, who she had been crushing on for so long. But watching Renki fight, she realized she couldn't ignore her feelings anymore.
Inside the bathroom, Meinette splashed cold water on her face, trying to calm her racing heart. Yumana leaned against the sink, watching her with a gentle smile. "You know," she began, "you don't have to hide it from me."
"Man, your mind-reading ability was so very special for me, but I have to saw Renki for what he will win-!" Meinette started to explain her feelings. But, Yumana kissed her on the lips with a softness that took Meinette by surprise. Meinette's eyes widened, and she froze for a moment, the cold water from the sink forgotten.
Yumana pulled back, her eyes searched Meinette's. "I've liked you for a long time, Meinette. I just didn't know how to tell you," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Meinette's mind was racing. She had never been kissed by a girl before, and certainly not by someone as beautiful and kind as Yumana. Her heart pounded in her chest, and she didn't know how to respond.
"I know you like Renki, but I wanted you to know how I feel," Yumana said, her voice gentle and sincere. "I've seen the way you look at him, and I understand. But maybe, just maybe, you could give me a chance too?"
"Sure.....guess it would be a sure to that." Meinette replied, her voice shaky. She couldn't believe what had just happened. Yumana had kissed her, and it had felt... different than she had ever expected. Warm, comforting, and surprisingly right.Meanwhile, Renki and Komona are still in the heat of their match. Renki is giving his all, not just because he wants to protect his spot on the team, but because he's starting to feel something stir within him as he watches Meinette's missing. With his luck, Renki touches Komona with his blade, scoring a point. The crowd cheers.
Komona, unfazed, laughs and says, "Nice, but my mother would be disappointed."
"Of course, my father does do that would be disappointed for me." Renki replied with a competitive smile.
"Well, bye!" Komona says, as she leaves the schoolyard, her bag slung over her shoulder. Renki watches her go, his cheeks still flushed from the intense match and the emotions it had brought up.
Inside, Meinette and Yumana are still kissing each other with passion, their hearts racing with excitement and fear of the unknown. The bathroom's cool tiles felt like ice against Meinette's burning skin, the scent of Yumana's shampoo filled her nose, and she felt more alive than ever before. They pulled apart, both breathless and blushing. Meinette looked into Yumana's eyes and saw a spark of hope that she never knew existed.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..." Meinette started to apologize, but Yumana put a finger to her lips.
"Don't be sorry. I wanted to do that," she said, her voice low and earnest. "But we should go back before Renki knows that we are missing."
Meinette nodded, taking one last deep breath before following Yumana back to the gym. Meinette and Yumana come out from the bathroom, as Renki comes to Meinette.
"Meinette, you're here. Guess what, I am winning the fencing." Renki said, his eyes searching for Meinette's reaction.
Meinette felt a rush of relief, but also confusion. "You're okay?" she asked, her voice still a little shaky from the kiss she had just shared with Yumana."Yeah, I'm fine here." Meinette replied, trying to compose herself. Renki's eyes searched hers for a moment, looking for something she wasn't quite ready to reveal.
"Sure, Komona was......very a good timing for me. Just like my father did." Renki said with a sigh, his eyes drifting towards the door where Komona had left.
"Sure, I would so that." Meinette managed a smile, trying to push aside the tumult of emotions Yumana's kiss had stirred within her. Renki and Meinette are move out from the school. Yumana smiled herself with a knowing look, understanding Meinette's mixed feelings.
