It was the beautiful fairy tale day, a girl named Meinette was running on the street.
"Oh my god, I am late for the school today!" Meinette thought as she picked up her pace. She was a second-year high school student, known for her cheerful personality and exceptional talent in fashion design.
At the school, Meinette rushed into her classroom, slightly out of breath. "Classes started ten minutes ago, yet you're still roaming the hallways! This is the eighth time this week! Good thing an anonymous student warned me every time you're about to break the rules... I wonder who that mysterious Hannah could be... Anyhow, take a seat!" The teacher said with a knowing smile. Meinette felt her cheeks redden with embarrassment as she took her seat.
"Man, this is feeling my good day." Meinette mumbled to herself as she sat down.
"Okay, take a seat." The teacher's voice echoed through the room as there is a girl has a indigo hair with blue eyes, her childhood friend was Yumana, who had always been the calm and collected one, sitting serenely next to her, a knowing smile playing on her lips. Meinette couldn't help but feel a flutter in her stomach every time she looked at her.
"Good morning, my best friend." Meinette greeted Yumana with a warm smile, trying to ignore the butterflies in her stomach. Yumana looked up from her book, her eyes lighting up at the sight of Meinette.
"Oh, Meinette. What brings you here?" Yumana asked, her voice a soft melody that seemed to ease the tension in the room.
"Guess what, my prince Renki, will be in my own seat! I love him much!" Meinette squealed with excitement, her voice high-pitched and filled with glee. Yumana couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy, knowing that she was the one who truly knew Meinette's heart.
Just then, the school bell rang. Meinette's heart skipped a beat as she saw Renki stride into the classroom, his athletic build and charming smile turning heads. He took his seat next to her, giving her a peck on the cheek. She blushed, feeling Yumana's gaze on her. The tension in the room grew palpable as the lesson began. Meinette couldn't focus, her thoughts racing between her love for Renki and the confusing feelings.
After class, Meinette and Yumana are walking down the hallway, their books tucked under their arms, chatting about their day. The air is filled with the faint scent of chalk and the distant murmur of students changing classes.
"As you can see, my best friend. I made a plan, which I'll invite him out for a fruit smoothie dinner!" Meinette said, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
"That's... nice, Meinette. But remember, you need to be confident in expressing your feelings to him." Yumana's voice was gentle, but Meinette could sense the underlying tension.
"Okay, I shall go home now!" Meinette exclaimed, her voice filled with excitement. "I'll tell Renki about the dinner tonight!"
With that, Meinette walked away, her heart racing. Yumana watched her go, feeling a mix of anticipation and fear.
After school, Yumana walked alone in the street road. Then, she entered her house, her mind racing with thoughts about Meinette and Renki. She sat in her room.
Then, her mother come to her daughter. "Oh, Yumana, your Meinette is looking so happy today. Did she tell you something good?"
"It's nothing, Mom. Just a school event, I think." Yumana replied, trying to keep her voice even.
Her mother studied her for a moment, a knowing look in her eyes. "Is everything okay, Yumana?"
Yumana sighed, setting her books down on her desk. "It's just... Meinette has a crush on someone. And I think it's serious."
Her mother's gaze softened. "Ah, I see. Sometimes it's hard to watch our friends go through these things, especially when you and me having go the doctor, you have a mind reading ability."
"Sure, I have the mind reading ability, that it was special for a price to pay." Yumana thought, feeling a pang of bitterness. She wished she could share her own feelings with Meinette, but she knew it would only complicate things. Then, a knocking sound from the door. "Come in!"It was Meinette, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Hey, Yumana! I did it! Renki said yes to the fruit smoothie dinner! I'm so happy!"
Yumana couldn't help but smile back, her heart fluttering at the sight of Meinette's joy. "That's great, Meinette. You're going to have a wonderful time."
"Oh, I forgot. I am going to shopping, while you both to be good." Yumana's mother said with a wink, leaving the room and closing the door gently behind her.
In her bedroom, Meinette and Yumana sat side by side, Meinette's excitement palpable as she chattered away about her dinner plans with Renki.
"So, what is the plan." Yumana asked, trying to sound casual despite her racing heart.
"Okay, we'll get married! Live happily ever after in a beautiful house and have two kids? No, three. And a dog! Maybe a cat? Nah, forget the cat. A hamster! I love hamsters! I just love how does it was enough for--!" Meinette's voice was a whirlwind of excitement, painting a vivid picture of her future with Renki. Just then, Yumana's mind reading ability knows that Meinette is actually thinking about her. Then, Yumana walked to her friend, leaving that Meinette was watched to her.
"Meinette, I need to tell you something," Yumana began, her voice quivering. "I don't know how to say this, but... I think I might have feelings for you."
With that, Yumana lead to Meinette with a kiss on the lips, it was gentle and soft. Meinette's eyes widened in surprise, but she didn't pull away. Instead, she felt a warmth spread through her body, and she leaned into the kiss, her own feelings for Yumana surfacing.
They broke apart, their eyes locking. Meinette's cheeks were flushed, and she looked at Yumana with a mix of shock and confusion. "Yumana, I had no idea... I thought you liked Renki too."
"I don't know, I have my mind reading ability that I use to read you, Meinette," Yumana said, her eyes searching Meinette's for a reaction. "But I can't read everyone's thoughts, and I definitely can't read Renki's heart."
"Oh....my....god!" Meinette gasped, her hand flying to her mouth. The realization of Yumana's true feelings hit her like a ton of bricks.
