chapter 1!

Y/n's POV
I woke up bright and early this morning, awake and ready for the game today. We were playing the German national team so today would be a breeze.

I walked to my wardrobe to get my kit out and place it in my kitbag. I went and made my breakfast, a yogurt and fruit bowl and sat on my kitchen bar stools and ate. I then headed upstairs to brush my teeth and double check I have everything before getting in the car.

I picked up my kitbag, knee pads, shoes, headphones, gum and finally my phone.
I opened my phone to find a text from her.

"Good luck in your game! I know you'll do amazing today baby :)"- Malia

I read the text and blush slightly, even tho we've been together almost 7 months now, I still blush at the slightest of pet name or physical touch when we do get together.

I respond with a simple "Thank you darling!" And stick my headphones on and hop in the car.

Time skip- in the locker room

I make it to my cubby in the locker room with my headphones still on top of my head blasting 4 minutes by Madonna.

I set my stuff down and take my headphones out, my mind now completely focused on the game. I get changed into my sleeves, under top, shorts, socks and finally my jersey. I lace up my shoes and hype myself up, still 'in the zone'.

Coach Addams walks in and tells us we have 5 minutes till line up. The team huddles around the centre of the changing rooms and I give my big pep talk.

"Listen up guys, I know we've faced this team several times before and we've beaten them every time, doesn't mean we don't play to the best of our abilities today. We need to go out there confident but also with caution, we never know what today will bring, so let's just give it our all. Let's go! Ace on three"

"ACE" we all shout in unison as we split and walk out ready for line ups.
