''Mia, I have a job for you''
Roger said while looking at the redhead infront of him. She looked him up and placed her hands on her hips.
''I told you i'm done. I'm only here for my last paycheck.''
He slamed his fist on the desk and stood up. Mia immediatly took a few steps back.
''You will be done when I tell you! Don't forget everything I did for you, I could ruin you in an instant.''
Mia rolled her eyes and looked down. He was right, he had been covering for her for years. She closed her eyes and bit her lip.
''What do you need?''
She sounded defeated, she truly had no way out of his grasp.
''I need intel on what's going on in the nursery now that Reece has started to get close again with his sister. You are starting there on monday as his new deputy. But don't tell him, I want to be the one who break the news to him''
Roger did enjoy tormenting his children. Putting Mia in play was a better way to get to them and hear what was going on in his nurseries. Mia looked horrified, she was finaly free from Reece since they had broken up prior to him starting working at the Knight nursery and now she had to go work with him? She really had no choice... She took a few seconds to think on how this could be worth her while.
''Fine, but I want to be on the board, that way Reece can't fire me the seconds he see's me on monday.''
Roger grunted and let out an angry sigh. This was going to cost him, but it was worth it. Messing with his children was one of his favorite thing.
''Done, now get out of here I have work to do''

A few days later
Roger had called a meeting for both the manager at head office. He had planned to tell Reece about Mia and had even asked her to come to the meeting so she could introduce herself to Marjorie.
''Right, I called this meeting because you have been at the nursery for a few weeks and still haven't hired anyone new. So don't bother I have done it for you.''
''You what?''
Roger could see the anger starting to built inside his son. He had to stop himself from smiling because he was really enjoying this.
''I'm going to go get them, give me a minute.''
Roger stood up and left the room, leaving Marjorie and Reece alone. He stood outside the door waiting for Mia to come in. He had planned to listen to their conversation but they barely spoke. When he saw the redhead he smiled and got back in the room.
''Right she's in the bathroom but she's excited to meet you Marjorie. Of course Reece already knows her''
Both Reece and Marjorie looked at Roger with a puzzled look.
''Dad, who is it?''
''It's hum... it's Mia''
Seeing Reece face go white was something Roger would enjoy for at least a few days. He was proud of himself for doing this.
''You hired Mia? Siriously? Why?''
''She was out of a job and she's qualified''
''Wait, who's Mia?'' Said Marjorie while looking confused.
Roger was about the tell her when Mia herself entered the room with a smug look on her face.
''I'm Reecey's ex girlfriend..and i'm so happy too finally meet you Marjorie.''
In this moment the redhead tought that this was the start of something fun. She was going to enjoy messing with Marjorie and Reece.
