It had been a few weeks since Mia had started working at Reece's nursery. She was laying low for now, only staying in her office and not messing anyone. Truth is she really tought she was going to enjoy this more but she was feeling trapped. Roger would text her almost everyday trying to find out why she wasnt back with him, why Autumn and Reece were still talking. It was getting exhausting.
That monday she was sitting at her desk, going through paperwork when Reece came in.
''Hmm, Mia?'' He said, while sitting down at is own desk.
She barely looked up at him before rolling her eyes and choosing to ignore him.
''I saw that, you heard me.'' He said again.
''What do you want?''
''I was wondering if you would want to get back together? I miss you''
What Reece said came as a shook to the redhead. She didn't expect that at all. She took a few seconds to look at him, thinking about her answer. Roger would be happy if they got back together and maybe he would get off her back for a while.
''You miss me? Really?''
Reece gave her a look and she smirked at him.
'Why not, you can treat me to diner tonight.''
''Fine'' He said.
After agreeing to get back together with him Mia felt a huge wave of panic and anxiety. She tried her best to calm herself down at her desk but after a couple of minutes she had to go outside.
She leaned on her car and tried to calm down her breathing. What had she agreed to? She always was miserable when she was with him, but she felt like she had no choice. This was the way things had to go if she wanted to find out information about her father. She took her phone out of her pockets and send a quick text to Roger saying they were back together. He replied with a thumbs up and that was it.
Mia took a few more minutes to make sure she was calm before going back in. When she turned towards the nursery door she was stopped in her tracks by the sight of a ginger girl coming out of the front door. She had seen her around but never really noticed her before. She was struck by her beauty, she seemed so delicate. She was about to go over and talk to her when she felt her phone vibrate in her pocket. It was Reece asking her where she was. She let out a sigh and shook her head, even if she was going to talk to that girl, she was stuck with Reece, so she headed back in without saying a word to her.
''Where were you?''
Asked Reece the minutes she came back in the office.
''Outside, had to go take a call. Who's the girl that just came out of the building? Is she an employee?''
''Charlotte? Yeah she works at the sister nursery but she came in to drop some paperwork for Carly our apprentice''
''Charlotte...''
She said under her breath... She sat down and couldnt help but think about her for the rest of the day.
