The stinging cold of the floor against her skin roused her from what felt like a deep sleep but without the relief that would come with actually sleeping. Every muscle in her body ached as she attempted to push herself up from the floor. The cool night had brought the temperature in her room down, sending a small shiver over her. Looking over, she realized that she hadn't lit a fire before falling asleep. Dizziness and exhaustion assaulted her when she stood. She decided to lean against her door for support to regain her bearings but instead of the door she fell against a warm solid chest. Hands gripped her more gently then she was used to, as she heard a faint grunt escape the mouth of the person she had fallen into.

"That was mildly unpleasant, I wish the premonitions would foretell things like this. Or even visions with any amount of clarity would be fine, honestly."

She looked up at the white eyes of her third eldest brother. Lucien and Dante were born before him and she was born after. He helped to steady her as she moved away from him.

"Elijah? They allowed  you to come to the main house alone?"

""Allowed" is a really strong word to use there. May I come in?" I would like to speak with you."

"You want to speak with me? Won't we get into trouble?" She asked as she ushered him into the room and checked if anyone else was around, before closing her door. As she did Elijah had made his way to her seating area and made himself comfortable in the chair closest to the window.

"Are you actually blind?" She grimaced at herself as she realized how rude she sounded while she watched him smooth his robes.

He smiled in response, "I certainly am, I use my other senses to assist where my eyes cannot. It's rather cool in here and the is no smell of burnt wood. Did you forget to light the fire before bed or do you prefer it cool at night?"

She covered her face in embarrassment, "I forgot, is it too cold for you? Would you like me to light  one?"

"Oh, no sweet one. I apologize if you felt as though I was berating you. I was only trying to make idle conversation. I regret that we aren't as close to one another as we used to be. I am no longer granted much time with you so I was only attempting to extend our time together now. Come, please sit with me." His tone was always gentle and quiet. Elijah wasn't one to raise his voice or get angry over anything. A small frown came to her face as he gestured to the available seat across from him. She made her way over to sit down, thankful for the comfort of the plush chair she let herself sink into.

"Is it hard living in the temple with the Priestess of the Spirits and her attendants, instead of here with the family? Sometimes it almost feels as though you were banished because of the sight."

A gentle smile raised the corners of his mouth slightly, "I didn't know you felt that way. Sometimes it is hard not getting to interact with my siblings regularly. At times I long for the days before I was gifted with the sight and we were all together. But as I age I understand that it was necessary for me to lose the sight of this world to gain the sight of another. More recently it has become even more clear." With a stroke of one of his delicate hands, he pushed back the silver stands that had fallen in his face, pushing his ears flat against his head. She mused that she remembered when his hair had been black like their fathers, before he gained the sight, and how odd it was that his ears and tail remained black.

She shifted in her seat slightly, "So what exactly was it that you wished to speak with me about?"

A look of unease flickered across his face before he began to speak, "Before I tell you I want to preface this. I haven't spoken to anyone about any of what I am about to tell you. Everything I know and am about to relay to you I have seen through visions. If that is all clear we may begin."
