~A week later~
The sun peeked through the curtains, casting a gentle glow over the small apartment. Seokjin stirred awake, a contented sigh escaping his lips as he stretched lazily. For the first time in what felt like forever, it was his day off. No early morning meetings, no late-night shifts and just a whole day to spend with Namjoon.
He turned to look at the sleeping figure beside him. Namjoon’s face was pressed against the pillow, his usual serene expression hinting at peaceful dreams. Seokjin couldn’t help but smile, his heart swelling with affection. He gently brushed a strand of hair away from Namjoon’s face, careful not to wake him just yet.
“Good morning, baby...” Seokjin whispered softly, leaning in to press a light kiss to Namjoon’s forehead.
Namjoon stirred, blinking groggily as he registered Seokjin’s presence. A sleepy smile spread across his face. “Jinnie…” he murmured, his voice thick with sleep.
Seokjin chuckled softly. “Yes, it’s me. It’s my day off today. I’m all yours.”
Namjoon’s eyes widened in excitement as he fully woke up. He immediately latched onto Seokjin, wrapping his arms around him and snuggling close. “Really? You’re not going to work today?”
“Not today” Seokjin says, his smile widening. “Today is all about us.”
Namjoon’s face lit up with joy. “That’s amazing! I’ve missed you so much when you’re at work.”
Seokjin’s heart melted at the sight of Namjoon’s enthusiasm. “I’ve missed you too, baby.”
They spent the morning in a blissful haze of cuddling and light conversation. Seokjin was more than happy to let Namjoon cling to him, savoring the rare opportunity to relax and enjoy his lover’s presence. Namjoon, however, was particularly clingy today, his need for Seokjin’s attention almost palpable.
As they lay together in bed, Namjoon traced gentle patterns on Seokjin’s chest with his fingers. “Jinnie, let’s stay like this forever...” he whispers softly
Seokjin chuckled, his fingers carding through Namjoon’s hair. “I wish we could. But there’s so much we can do today. How about we start with breakfast? I’ll cook for us.”
Namjoon’s eyes widened in excitement. “Really? You don’t have to, Jin. I can make something-”
“No way” Seokjin interrupted with a playful grin. “Today, I’m spoiling you. Now, stay here and let me make you something special.”
Reluctantly, Namjoon let go, but only to the extent that he followed Seokjin into the kitchen, his arms still wrapped around Seokjin as he watched him cook. “You’re so good at this,” Namjoon said, his chin resting on Seokjin’s shoulder. “I love your cooking.”
Seokjin smiled, his heart warming at Namjoon’s praise. “Thank you baby...I love making you happy.”
As Seokjin prepared breakfast, Namjoon remained attached to him, practically glued to his side. He kept up a continuous stream of affectionate murmurs and gentle touches, occasionally pouting when Seokjin had to step away to check on something.
“Jinnie, come here” Namjoon whined softly, reaching out for Seokjin’s hand. “I miss you.”
Seokjin laughed softly, his heart fluttering at Namjoon’s antics. “I’m right here, Namjoon. Just a few more minutes, okay?”
The breakfast was a success, with Namjoon eating eagerly and offering Seokjin adoring looks across the table. After they finished, they spent the afternoon together, Seokjin trying to focus on the activities Namjoon wanted to do, even if it meant putting his own preferences aside.
They watched a movie, with Namjoon snuggling into Seokjin’s side and occasionally whining for more attention. “Jinnie, can you hold me closer?” he asked, his voice tinged with a hint of sadness whenever Seokjin had to shift.
Seokjin complied, his arms wrapping tightly around Namjoon. “Is this better?”
Namjoon nodded, his eyes shining with contentment. “Yes, much better.”
As the day wore on, Namjoon’s clinginess only grew more pronounced. Whenever Seokjin tried to move away to do something, even something as simple as getting a drink, Namjoon would immediately wrap his arms around him, clinging like a koala.
“Where are you going?” Namjoon asked with a pout, his eyes wide and pleading. “Please don’t leave me.”
Seokjin chuckled, his heart melting at Namjoon’s adorable behavior. “I’m just getting a drink, baby. I’ll be right back.”
When Seokjin finally settled on the couch with Namjoon curled up beside him, the evening was spent in a haze of affection and closeness. Namjoon’s constant need for physical contact didn’t bother Seokjin; instead, it made him feel incredibly loved and cherished.
As the night drew near, Seokjin held Namjoon close, their bodies pressed together in a comfortable embrace. Namjoon’s head rested on Seokjin’s chest, his fingers tracing idle patterns on Seokjin’s skin.
“Jinnie...” Namjoon said softly, his voice barely above a whisper. “I’m so happy today. Thank you for spending it with me.”
Seokjin kissed the top of Namjoon’s head, his heart full. “I’m happy too, Sweetheart. You make every day special, not just the days I have off.”
Namjoon’s eyes fluttered closed, his breathing steady and content. Seokjin smiled, gently stroking Namjoon’s hair as he drifted into a peaceful sleep.
Seokjin knew that days like these, filled with love and intimacy, were rare and precious. And as he lays there, holding Namjoon close, he felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude for these moments they shared.
