Hot tears swept down their face as (Name) stood face front in the empty venue hall. Liquor dominated most of their senses as they clung onto the will. Of course, everything went to them; who else could it?
They were their parents' only child, and the only proof of any love they had. Their energy didn't permit them to strapple down for 18 years, so (Name) took it as an apology. But as usual, even expected things didn't come for free.
"Fuck...I'd rather die." A cheap laugh emerged from them as they crumbled up the paper. For someone who rose on a pedestal and never looked down, this couldn't have been anything but a joke.
They were half convinced to grab a homeless person off the street and declare a show of deep love but knew it wouldn't have fooled anyone-especially them. Mr. and Mrs. (Last name) were so open to everything so what would've been the point of hiding it? Hell, they would've even jumped with joy if (Name) carried a leash and dragged two people with collars in if it meant (Name) finally experienced love.
Hah... (Name) called in the cleaners and left, despite vodka and whiskey running through their veins, their expression looked anything but drunk.
The drive home was in silence as they scrolled around in Reddit. A nonsensical post caught their eye as their fingers slowly stopped.

The replies weren't much better then the poster as they all seemed to collectively share one brain cell. But amongst the meaningless chatter, one reply stood out freshly, catching (Name's) attention. There wasn't much in the small comment, but even just that seemed to still the room.
[I'm assuming you're over 18 if you're going to a school reunion, right? If so, I definitely recommend Rent-A-Husband! The service is really good in my area, (insert city name), but each branch hold's their own charm. You can find them on any website or play store :)]

How down bad can you be to something like that? Or worse, work there?
Having nothing to do during the hour ride, they smacked on a piece of gum and went to their App store.
