You can't ignore me forever

(Alright so this is back to the original story line and it's after that little heated moment with y/n and Alastor. But I will title which chapters are different. Or maybe make a separate book?) Lmk🫶

A low rumbling noise can be heard from your room.
Alastor has kept you from going downstairs to get food, not like he's forcing you to stay in there
but you'd prefer not seeing him.

It's been  about three weeks since the  little "argument" and everyone in the hotel makes sure that you two don't accidentally cross paths.

"I'm so hungry"
The words escape your lips in a whine.

You head downstairs but freeze mid-step
when your eyes lock onto to something red.

Not exactly a "something" it's a certain someone who you'd never like to see again.

Unfortunately the stair makes a loud creek that draws the attention onto you.

His red eyes stare into your with a look of hatred but his smile has widened and for a moment there appears to be a look of happiness on his face.

"If it isn't our favorite drama queen."

Wow, haven't seen him in three weeks and he is still the same annoying prick who has something to say.
"If it isn't the demon who doesn't know how to be respectful."

"I am a demon after all."
He laughs to himself as if it's the funniest joke he's heard in years.
"But Dear, you must be confused if you think I'm not respectful. I always strive to be a gentleman."

"How's that working out?"
You snap back in a hostile tone.

He walks over and stretches your lips upward.
"Someone needs to smile more, you're never fully dressed without-"
"You're never fully dressed without one....I know."

His voice is laced with a thick static when he speaks.
"Good, but if you knew that you'd be smiling. Wouldn't you?"

"Not with you in the same room as me."
You add bitterly to try and get the last word.

Faint Jazz music can be heard in the background as you sit at the bar with a sandwich and a glass of wine.

Alastor takes a seat, eyeing the wine glass with a predatory stare.
"Husk bring me another wine glass...please."

When the wine glass arrives you turn to Alastor and offer it to him but he turns down your offer, which makes you slightly annoyed.

He swiftly takes the one you drank from chugs it down, then grabs the one you're holding.

"Now that I think of it, I am a bit thirsty."

You get up and mumble a few curse words in Spanish under your breath. Then you turn to him and bid farewell.

You turn back one last time and he perks his head up. "You better enjoy that wine."

He lifts the cup to his lips, taking a nice long drink.
"I will."

You make your way up a few steps but pause when he says, "You can't ignore me forever."

Oh yes I can...
