"HEY CARTIER! DIARIE!" Crystal yelled once again, "If i have to raise my voice in this store one more muthafucking time!"

"Act like yall got some damn sense!" The two of them immediately stopped what they were doing and sat in the cart.

Crystal was not one to yell at them so when she did they knew better than to keep playing with her cause she will whoop their ass.

"Sorry mama," the two of them said together, she nodded before grabbing the peas. she heard a fake cough, and turned.

once she saw Devale she didn't say anything, she just turned back around. "so you ignoring me now Renee?"

she didn't respond continuing to push her cart, "first you got everybody thinking i cheated on you now you can't even look me in my face."

she immediately stopped the cart, "thinking? Devale please don't play dumb with me i saw your dog as- she noticed the kids watching.

"you know what Devale, fuck you." She pushed the cart again this time not stopping until she was far away from him.

"mommy who's that man?" diarie asked, she was one curious baby. meanwhile cartier was minding his business.

"that's uh, that's uncle mario's cousin." she said because she knows they'll see him again and diarie would just ask more questions.

crystal got all her things and checked out, she put all the bags in her car and then strapped the kids in their booster seats.

just as she closed the door on cartier's side someone approached her, "we might as well have a conversation, you can't keep running."

she looked up and saw devale standing by the car parked next to her. "devale please just leave me alone please."

"NO i can't leave you alone, I want to talk to you. you have a whole different life and i feel like i should not be missing it."

"and you know exactly what i mean by that crys! we obviously have two different reasons as to why we broke up so let's sit down and talk."

she sighed loudly. "meet me at Sola tmr at 12. If you're not there then you might as well forget about me ever speaking to you."

he nodded, she hopped in her car, started it up and scurried off. "put on gracie mommy!" both kids urged her, she turned it on.

the rest of the car ride was filled with nursery rhymes and laughs and giggles.

* Next Day

Crystal gathered herself together as she walked into Sola, she spotted Devale almost instantly. "Good afternoon Devale."

"Hey Crystal, good afternoon." He spoke as she sat down. "So let's lay it all out, no point in sugarcoating."

"Is the girl mines?" Crystal internally rolled her eyes, "Yes Devale, Diarie is your daughter." She admitted.

He scoffed, "Why would you keep her from me Crystal? That's low asfk." Crystal kept her cool like she trained herself.

"If we're going to have this conversation it's going to be civil. I didn't mean nor want to keep her but i had no other choice."

"I couldn't stand to be in your face after what i saw, what broke my heart." She said lowly so the whole cafe wouldn't be in there faces.

"What did you see Crystal? Everybody know everything but Devale. I come to Miami and everybody know a story about me i never even told, I've never even been here, why do all these people know me."

"Don't do that! You make it seem as if i go around belittling you to whoever's listening." , "That's what it seems like."

"Why do you act like you didn't cheat on me Devale, it broke my heart so bad and you just act like im so stupid and im not."

"Because I didn't cheat! I've never in our whole relationship stepped out on you." He grew a tad bit mad.

"Yes you did! I saw you Devale! I saw you in the bed with her, she was wearing your robe! Snuggled in your chest!"

Devale didn't respond, he still didn't fully remember but for some reason he could remember the feeling of someone snuggling up to him.

"Crystal I promise you, I didn't cheat on you! I don't remember shit about being with no girl, I barely have memories of the night."

"I don't want to sound like im doing anything to get you to believe me but when you stormed off Ari made me think of something."

She nodded for him to keep going "It was how after that situation everything went bad with everything and how none of us could remember what happened."

"So what you saying Devale? You think yall were drugged?" He nodded, "Possibly I don't know." She didn't respond.

The two sat in silence for a moment before Crystal spoke. "I know you don't know diarie and she doesn't know you but I won't keep you from getting to know her."

"if you want to be a father to your daughter then by all means do it, but I won't wait around or let you let her down!"

"I never played about two people and diarie and cartier? Those are my babies, so if you decide to step up, you have my number."

She gave him her new number and texted herself so she could save his, she said her goodbyes then left.

Starving from not ordering she pulled into Starbucks and grabbed something for her and the kids.

She got back home to the kids and their babysitter, Ari's niece    . She paid her and let her go before bonding with the kids.
