A blend of fate and love

Y/N pushed open the door to the cozy cafe, greeted by the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the soft hum of indie music. She had been coming to this cafe for months, and it felt like a second home. As she waited in line, she noticed a new face behind the counter - a boy with a bright smile and piercing brown eyes. He looked up and caught Y/N's gaze, flashing a warm smile.
"Hi! Welcome to our cafe. What can I get started for you today?" he asked, his voice friendly and inviting.
Y/N hesitated for a moment, then asked, "Actually, I'd love a recommendation. I've been stuck in a coffee rut lately."
The new barista, Sungho, grinned enthusiastically. "Well, we just introduced a new summer menu. Our signature drink is the Creamy Lavender Latte. Would you like to try it?"
Y/N nodded, intrigued by the unique flavor combination. Sungho expertly crafted the drink, and as he handed it over, their fingers touched briefly. Y/N felt a spark of electricity, but brushed it off as mere static.
As Y/N took her first sip, Sungho asked, "What do you think? Too floral?"
Y/N smiled, surprised by the perfect balance of flavors. "It's amazing! You're a genius."
Sungho chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Thanks! I'm Sungho, by the way. New here."
Y/N's heart skipped a beat as they introduced themselves, feeling an unexpected connection to this charming stranger.
Y/N took a seat by the window, trying to focus on her laptop screen, but her gaze kept drifting back to Sungho. He moved with a quiet confidence, his hands moving swiftly as he crafted drinks with precision. Every so often, he'd glance up and catch Y/N's eye, flashing a warm smile before returning to work.
As the cafe bustled with activity, Y/N found themselves feeling more and more at ease, as if Sungho's presence had somehow made the space feel cozier. She tried to concentrate on their work, but their mind kept wandering back to the way Sungho's eyes crinkled at the corners when he smiled.
Before she knew it, hours had passed, and the cafe was starting to empty. Sungho came over to refill Y/N's water glass, his hand brushing against theirs. "You've been here for a while," he said softly. "Everything okay".
Y/N played it cool, saying, "Yeah, just enjoying the atmosphere. You guys have a great vibe here."
Sungho smiled, his eyes sparkling with warmth. "Thanks! We try to make it feel like a second home for our regulars. Speaking of which, I've seen you in here before, right?"
Y/N nodded, feeling a sense of pride at being recognized as a regular. "Yeah, I come here pretty often. Love the coffee and the music."
Sungho nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah, our owner, Minju, she's got a great ear for music. And our coffee beans are sourced from local roasters."
As they chatted, Y/N felt a sense of ease with Sungho, like they'd known him for years. The cafe was closing soon, but Y/N didn't want the conversation to end.
Just then, Sungho glanced at his watch and said, "Oh, I'm so sorry, but I have to close up shop soon. Would you... um... like to grab coffee with me sometime? Outside of work, I mean?"
Y/N's heart skipped a beat as she smiled, trying to play it cool. "Yeah, that sounds great. I'd love to grab coffee with you sometime."
Sungho's face lit up with a bright smile. "Awesome! I'll get your number, and we can plan something for this week?"
