Since that event in the Gym with Kai, I haven't seen him much on campus and I am not the one avoiding him this time. I have gotten over that. I think my brain has finished processing what went down and now I am just trying to live a peaceful life, keyword. Trying. Since a few days ago, Matthew has been getting on my nerves. Who is this Matthew, you ask?

My ex.

that scumbag that I was crying and drinking my soul out before that got me somewhere, I'd rather not remember. The son of an idiot has the nerve to come running back and keep trying to talk to me but I won't hear him out one bit. Not after I caught him with a member of my team, sucking each off like two starving dogs, worse on my birthday.  I just stood there and nodded then thumbs up before leaving, he's lucky he is still alive.

"Amaris." A voice calls out from behind me, I know that voice.  I roll my eyes annoyed then look at the persona and put on a forced smile. "Yes, Matthew." He walks up the stairs and walks toward me before putting on that charming smile, that could get a woman falling, me once included. He must be deluding himself if he thinks it will work cause right now, the only emotion I am feeling is annoyance and an urgent need to go and not be in his presence any longer. I might lose it.

"What are you doing this Friday?"

"I don't see how my schedule concerns you." I retort and turn my back, starting to walk away from him.

"Well, I wanted to invite you to dinner." He says and that did it. He honestly can't be for real right now.  "Do you have no shame?" I ask, genuinely curious. I look at him puzzled.

"Like how can you come up to my face and ask me out for dinner after what you did." His face blackened at my words and it seemed a tinge of redness appeared on his face. "It was just a drunken mis-", He tried to explain. I shake my head, "No No, drunk or not, you don't stuff your tongue down on my teammate's throat. " That same teammate of mine, I have a feud with her, so she's the next one.

"Matthew, I will say this kindly and finally, I don't wanna see you near me, not in a 5-meter radius nor do I wanna see you try and butter up to me. You can go suck tongues with Anastasia for all I care, but after what happened then, we are done. If you violate any one of those, I won't hesitate to send a ball flying to your face after all I'm the ace of my team, it's simple" I said what I said and turned to leave. huffing a breath from the anger I was holding in.

.............

"So as you all may know, It's soon summer break and during the summer break, we will have practice as usual. I'll text the group when it's starting and all, so put down your name if interested. " I say my final word, to the team of Girls and then dismissed them. I had just finished a good 2 hours of training with the girls. I looked to the other side of the court where the boys' team was still practicing.

Our university had a big inside court split in two, we shared it with the boys' team. Sometimes we even do practice matches with them, I was looking for Kai but it seem he wasn't at practice today. Thats weird.

"Jeremy!" I called one of their receivers who was on the sideline, and Kai's friend. Jeremy Mullings. "Where's Haru?" I ask referring to Kai by his last name, He is Japanese American. Jeremy looked at me and shrugged, "I don't know, hasn't been at training for like 2 days now."

Now that's even weird, Kai is someone who has a routine, no one can disrupt that routine.  I need to find him, I don't think what happened has him that shaken, something might be wrong.  I thank Jeremy before grabbing my stuff and making my way to Kai's apartment.
