chapter 5

Manik's pov :

She agreed.!

I didn't think she actually would, but she did. There was something about Nandini-maybe it was the way she blushed when she got nervous or the determination in her eyes. Whatever it was, it made this little plan of mine way more interesting.

As I was leaving home, I couldn't help but feel a strange excitement. This wasn't just about Abhay or getting people off my back anymore. This was about... well, I wasn't exactly sure. But it felt like something I wanted to explore.

Cabir lost his mind when I told him about this.

I chuckled, picturing his reaction again. This is to get a whole lot more interesting.

Then I hear a ping on my phone.

"Nandini sent you a message ".

I got excited even before opening the msg. What is wrong with me .

" can we talk, if you are free.. "

I reply " sure ! We'll meet up in the cafe ."

I change my route and take a u turn  to meet her .

Third person pov :

Nandini was drinking her milkshake as usual and manik enters and spots her .

Manik : hi kapoor !

Nandini: hi...

Manik comes and sits beside Nandini.

Manik : I'm kinda hungry .. What's the best here ?

He asks checking the menu

Nandini: amm.. The Newyork cheesecake.. The pancakes ,cookies are good too .

Manik : okay ! I'll be back.

Manik goes and orders some food.

Manik : so what is it ? You wanted to talk ..

Nandini: Right! I think we need discuss a bit about our contract and you know ....set some ground rules !

Manik : (chuckles) rules ? Seriously nandini?..

Nandini: yes ! For starters.. I don't what you to kiss me .

Manik : are you serious? Who's Gonna believe that we are dating if we don't even kiss ?

Nandini: look it might not be a big deal for you but..but..it's different for me .I don't what all my firsts to be fake !

Manik : fine... but we need to figure something out.

Nandini: well cheek and forehead are fine . Just not on the lips !

Manik : okay fine....

Nandini: so rule no.1 no kissing on the lips . No.2 we can't tell anyone . It would be way too embarrassing.  For both of us actually.

She starts writing in a notebook.

Manik :are you actually writing down the rules .?
..any ways I already told cabir . But he won't tell anyone.

Nandini : Well I have to tell mukti too . Okay  minus our bestfriends ,nobody should know !

Mean while the food arrives . Two cheesecakes slices  and cookies with some pancakes and coffee.

He moves a cake slice and a cookie towards her .
Manik : eat up !

Nandini: (suprised) thanks .

Manik :  Okay I got one ! You have to come to all my games and parties . You know girlfriend duty.
He says with a smirk.

Nandini : okay. Rule .3  go to the games and parties .

She writes with down.

Anything else ?

Manik : yes ! As I'm helping you get abhay , you help me a bit my maths.
Don't worry you don't have to do my homeworks an all  . Just tutor me a bit.. cool ?

Nandini : but I can't everyday! Max.. trice a week okay ?

Manik : ya , that works .

Nandini : so.. rule .4 tutor in exchange hor help.

Seeing her write everything, manik shakes his head chucking.

Nandini : so that's it ?

Manik : no , add one more.. you'll have to come to the school trip.

Nandini : that's like.. 3 months from now  .we probably wouldn't be doing this  anymore .

Manik : if we do , you should come .

Nandini : fine..

No.5 trip .

So we are done...

Sign it .

Manik :(laughing) are you for real ?

Nandini : just do it..

Mani k: fine...

Manik signs the contract . He forwards his hand for a  shake hand.

Nandini smiles and joins .

They finish their food and manik pays it . They leave in maniks car.

After reaching Nandini's home, as she was about to get down..

Manik : I'll pick you up tomorrow! You know boyfriend duties .

Says with a smile .

Nandini: really ?

Manik nods. Nandini smiles and gets down .
Nandini : bye malhotra see you tomorrow!

Manik : bye kapoor!

He drives away smiling.

Later Nandini tells everything on the call to mukti.

Mukti was a bit unsureabout the whole fake date situation but agreed anyways .
