author's note: this story will not depict the typical romance genre that has been incorporated in the previous books, although the chapters will show possible suggestive scenes, the conclusion of romance and relationships will only be left within' the readers' perspective. this novel mostly highlights the genre of corruption within' the government in reality, alongside with the injustices bound to occur and be discussed.

i've figured that i've done too many literal writings with no conflict, and i thought to myself-

why not try a novel with different direction?
i want my head to ache.

hehe. enjoy, everyone! please lower your expectations for this story's direction though, this is my first time doing this psychological novel meaning: plot twists after plot twists (winks)

let's go!

in a world wherein justice is considered to be the highest attainment one could get despite of it being the bare minimum needed- being a lawyer, nor a detective isn't a good idea.

it's always a battle of morale and survival, hence causing differences between individuals.

some are assholes, some are indebted with life.

in reality, none of these things will make sense.

life is unfair.

byulyi soon raises her brow as soon as she sees a good amount of private cars filling the law firm she's working into, taking off her shades, furrowing her brows- thanking that employees have their own spaces to park into.

every areas of the law firm was filled with chaos- whispers, subtle eyeing from left to right into the unfamiliar people surrounding the place.

skeptically scanning her identification card into the entrance before entering, byulyi slowly walks through the hall, hearing conversations.

"so you mean to tell me that the vice president is into dirty works?"

byulyi tilts her head slowly, eyes a little wide at the piece of news that she's hearing as she sips onto her coffee dramatically- as if she was waiting for another conversation to follow up the rumors that she's been hearing.

"kim seokjin? i knew he's skeptical."

"his records are too good, now that he's nearing the end of his terms- everything is coming out."

byulyi then tries to hide her grin as soon as she hears the heavy conversation, whispering. "now that the government terms are ending, these are all coming out huh?" she presses into the elevator, preparing to head to her office- her eyes then meeting one of her bosses.

"oh? hello-"

she didn't even got to finish her greetings, half-way bowing down before hearing her boss speak.

"byulie, office in ten minutes- meet us?" he asks, causing the detective to blink and whisper.

"that seems urgent, i'll just... yeah." she chuckles softly, bowing down as soon as he thanks her, apologizing for the sudden meeting.

now entering the elevator- she soon meet another person's eyes, seemingly unfamiliar for her as she assumed that it must be a new client on another's detective assignment. bowing down in front of her, she then enters the elevator as well, ringing up the eighth floor.

"... missus moon byulyi?" the individual asks, causing byulyi to blink and turn to her.

"i am not a missus here-  but i am moon byulyi, yes?" she asks her, tilting her head towards her direction as she saw her smile apologetically, whispering. "forgive me, i haven't considered that."
