Siddharth's POV“Why the heck would you even let the case begin in the first place?” Reyaansh, my over-the-top friend, shouted as we headed back to my office after the hearing.
I glanced at him, barely containing my irritation. “Because, Reyaansh, it’s not just about letting her have her little victory. It’s about making a point.”
He frowned, clearly frustrated. “A point? You’re letting her poke around in your business. This is the last thing you need right now.”
I smirked, unfazed by his concern. “If she wants to play with fire, then let her. I’ll show her exactly how dangerous it can be. I don’t lose, Reyaansh, and I’m not about to start now.”
“You saw how she was so unfazed in court today,” Reyaansh continued, frustration edging his voice. “She had proof, buddy. You should be worried.”
I shrugged, dismissing his concern. “Proof means nothing if you don’t know how to use it. She might have her game face on, but I have my own methods. Let her bring her best. I’ve faced worse.”
Reyaansh shook his head, clearly not convinced. “Just don’t underestimate her. She’s got a reputation for a reason.”
I met his gaze with unwavering confidence. “I know what I’m up against. But I also know that no matter how strong her case is, I’ll always be one step ahead. Trust me on that.”
"What are you planning?" He asked me, looking at me with narrowed eyes. He was the only one who always knew when I was up to something.
I leaned back in my chair, a calculating smile on my lips. “Let’s just say I have a few tricks up my sleeve. I intend to make sure that her so-called 'evidence' turns into nothing more than a fleeting illusion.”
Reyaansh’s eyes narrowed further. “You better have something solid. If she’s half as good as they say, this could get messy.”
“I don’t do messy,” I replied coolly. “I do decisive. Watch and learn, Reyaansh. By the time this is over, she’ll wish she never crossed paths with me.”
I met his gaze with steely resolve. “The next hearing—it's going to be the last of this case with me emerging victorious. She’s underestimated me, and that’s her mistake. I’ll make sure of it.”
Reyaansh leaned back, a skeptical look on his face. “You better deliver. If not, it’ll be more than just your pride on the line.”
“I always deliver,” I said, the confidence in my voice leaving no room for doubt. “Prepare for a show that will leave no question about who holds the power here.”

The days went by faster than I thought. It was already the second hearing of the case, a situation where, for the first time, I found myself standing as the criminal. Vishakha Kapoor, who had dared to challenge me, was about to face the full force of the consequences.
