Death, death is a hard thing to experience. When it happens to you, you leave the people you love and care about, and you don't know what lurks on the other side. It can happen to anyone, a loved one, a pet, a plant. And you never know how you're supposed to feel, when it happens to someone you love. Every emotion hits you, anger, sadness, confusion, fear. It will put you in a terrible place, you'll sit and wonder, how do I make them proud? How do I live without them?
One day soon you'll figure it out, and something you'll feel is happiness. Because you made them proud, you lived without them. You learned new stuff about yourself, about how to do stuff on your own. Stand up for yourself, rely on yourself and not others. Maturity, and most of all. You learn how to love, even when life brings you down.
That's a lesson Sabriah Hale learned, and the very young age of 13, when she lost her best friend.
