Y/N and Lizzie walked out of the room together, their secret moment tucked safely away in their hearts. They knew they couldn't tell Scarlett and risk ruining everything. As they entered the living room, they saw Scarlett sitting on the couch, engrossed in a phone call.
Y/N leaned into Lizzie's ear, his breath warm against her skin. "I wish I could kiss you again," he whispered, his voice filled with longing.
Lizzie smiled, her heart fluttering at his words. She loved knowing that Y/N was just as intoxicated by her as she was by him. "Maybe we could sneak back to the room for another kiss," she suggested playfully, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
Before they could act on their plan, Scarlett hung up the phone and turned to see the two of them standing close together. Her eyes narrowed slightly, a curious expression on her face.
"Hey, you two," Scarlett said, her tone light but inquisitive. "What are you up to?"
Y/N quickly stepped back, trying to appear casual. "Oh, just talking," he replied, his voice steady.
Lizzie nodded, her smile never wavering. "Yeah, just catching up," she added, hoping to divert Scarlett's attention.
Scarlett raised an eyebrow, clearly not entirely convinced but choosing to let it go. "Well, breakfast is ready if you're hungry," she said, gesturing towards the kitchen.
"Thanks, Scarlett," Y/N said, grateful for the distraction. He glanced at Lizzie, a silent promise in his eyes. They would find another moment, another chance to be together.
As they moved towards the kitchen, Lizzie felt a thrill of excitement. The secret they shared made everything feel more intense, more real. And despite the challenges ahead, she knew they would find a way to make it work. Together.
The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and sizzling bacon filled the air, adding a sense of normalcy to the morning. Y/N and Lizzie exchanged a quick, knowing glance, their secret still fresh and thrilling.
Scarlett was already setting the table, her back turned to them. Y/N took the opportunity to lean closer to Lizzie, his voice barely a whisper. "We'll find another moment," he promised, his eyes filled with determination.
Lizzie nodded, her heart racing with anticipation. "I can't wait," she replied softly, her smile widening.
They joined Scarlett at the table, trying to act as naturally as possible. Scarlett, oblivious to the undercurrent of tension between them, chatted animatedly about her plans for the day. Y/N and Lizzie responded, their minds half on the conversation and half on each other.
After breakfast, Scarlett announced she had to run some errands. "I'll be back in a couple of hours," she said, grabbing her keys. "You two behave yourselves."
As soon as the door closed behind her, Y/N and Lizzie exchanged a look of relief and excitement. The apartment was theirs, at least for a little while.
Y/N took Lizzie's hand, pulling her gently towards the spare room. "Now, where were we?" he asked, a playful grin on his face.
Lizzie giggled, her heart soaring. "I believe we were about to sneak back for another kiss," she said, her voice filled with anticipation.
They slipped back into the spare room, the door closing softly behind them. Y/N cupped Lizzie's face in his hands, his eyes locking onto hers. "I've been wanting to do this all morning," he murmured before leaning in to kiss her again.
This kiss was deeper, more passionate, fuelled by the knowledge that they had a little more time to themselves. Lizzie's fingers tangled in Y/N's hair, pulling him closer as their hearts beat in perfect sync once more.
