Ghosts of winter

Delta^

            I waited for my alpha's signal. We were getting ready to attack yet another underground hunter prison and this one was bigger than all the other prisons combined. From the smell of it there was 1300 prisoners. However this time was different. This time there was a really faint yet extremely mouthwatering scent that I couldn't quite shake. I knew what it was and had told my alpha about it. However I had to wait for the signal and once it was given. I slipped past all the hunters with my ability. I freed as many prisoners as I could and took out some of the guards. A medical team followed in behind me and helped the prisoners who couldn't move very well on their own. The faint, mouthwatering scent was getting stronger and stronger. Then just as I rounded the corner following the scent I came to a dead end.
"That's odd," I said. One of the med team members came up behind me. I looked at them and signalled for them to take the wounded back up. I used my ability and passed right through the wall. I looked around and saw that there was a door behind me and which meant that the wall opened.
Alpha? I asked.
Yes, Delta? He asked
I found a hidden chamber and the scent that I told you about led me to it. It's bad, Alpha. The chamber is a torture chamber.
Understood. Find the source of the scent and I'll have some men focus on opening the door. He responded. I did as he said and followed the scent it lead me to a cell. It had an X in the middle of the room with a figure in the middle. I found the keys to the cell and unlocked the door. I walked up to the figure. It was a girl. She had ghost white hair and pale skin. Her clothes were practically rags and were falling apart. She didn't move but I knew she was alive. I unlocked the cuffs and caught the girl as she fell. I saw that she had several wounds on her. She was in worse condition than all the other prisoners combined. She had to have been here the longest out of all of them.
          "I'm not going to tell you what you want to know" said a voice. It took me a second to realise where the voice came from. It was from the girl. Her eyes were open a little bit and she was glaring up at me. She must know something that those guys had wanted. She looked like she was going to say something else but then she closed her mouth. The poor girl was exhausted and malnourished. It was evident that she was a fighter and that whatever it was that she knew was gonna stay a secret till the day she died.
"I'm not one of them. I don't want to know whatever it is that you know. I will do my best to keep you safe so just rest now," I said back. She looked at me carefully and then nodded her head. She put her head against my shoulder and she fell back to sleep. I picked her up and carried back to the door where my alpha now stood. I carried her back up to the entrance to the prison and stopped. I took a blanket from the med team and covered her with it. The sun was bright coming back out of the dungeons. I carried her over to the med tent and set her on one of the stretchers. I didn't want to leave her side but I had to go check in with my alpha. Then I spotted Aurora, my other little sister, and waved her over.
"Can you stay with her and make sure nobody bothers her while she rests?" I asked. She nodded her head and sat down in a chair next to the girl. I hesitantly left and met with my alpha and told him everything that I had seen while I had been in the prison. When I finished telling him what i had seen. I could tell he was horrified and when i told him about the condition the girl was in.
