Finally reaching the school, Kanako and Kazuma enter the building to the principal's office. There was the principal Ms. K. She was known for being stern yet graceful.
"So you're my new students, Ms. and Mr. Ojimo, correct?" Principal K moved from her desk to look at us with her intimidating eyes. "Yes." We both confirmed. There was only the clicking and typing from the computer. With a final sigh. She moved from the computer, glaring directly at Kazuma. "Ojimo Kazuma. It appears you have credits missing in a couple of classes. How about you take a seat? We're gonna be talking for a while."
Shivers crawled up both our spines. Kazuma held on to me tightly, looking at me in terror, mouthing, "Please save me." Kanako comforted him with a smile, as she was pretty much useless in this situation. "Oh, and Ms. Kanako, you're good - great. Even so, you can go ahead and give yourself a tour of the school. You both start tomorrow, so there is no need to worry." She smiled, which felt off, but she hurried out the door more terrified of her smile. Leaving the poor brother alone.
After leaving Kazuma alone, Kanako heads into the field near the fountain. Viewing from afar, a boy and girl look to be talking until a sudden shouting from the girl takes place and soon storms off with the boy looking unbothered. Kanako turns, going in a direction, hoping the boy doesn't notice her as she would rather not bother. But with such luck, the boy notices her.
Kanako enters an empty gym with the looks of a volleyball court. "Ah hell yeah! I was hoping I could play a game."
"Weird, you said hoping. You new around here?" Kanako turns to see the boy outside earlier coming towards her. "You saw me, didn't you?" Kanako turned quickly, seeing a tall brunette with jade green eyes, waking towards you smiling. Confusing to her as he was just being yelled at by the girl. "Sorry, my name is Manato. I'm a second year; nice to meet you." He winked at her, but Alan himself just cringed inside because, after all, he was still a guy, just in a girl's body. Nonetheless, he kept his cool and went back to being Kanako.
"Yeah... nice to meet you Manato. But aren't you supposed to be in class? I saw a bunch of kids still in class. " He whistled and went to grab a ball, completely ignoring her. "Cool, so you're skipping." Kanako rolled her eyes and followed behind him.
"Wanna play a game?" Kanako looked out the door but saw a teacher coming towards the gym. "Actually, how about we dip before that teacher comes in here." We grabbed our stuff and left through the other door of the gym.
"Thanks, princess~," He says, looking into the gym and watching the teacher walk in. "You saved my ass. That teach ain't chill like some other teacher I know." He turned to look at Kanako only to be surprised by the disgusted look on her face. "Look, not to be rude, but I'm not anyone's "princess, " so you either call me by my name or anything normal. NOT princess." Kanako crossed her arms, looking dead serious at him. "You got it?"
Manato was shocked at her words as he was used to people just falling for his charms. He smirked and looked at her more closely while slowly walking to her. "You know you're really cute. Your hair, eyes, and adorable face." As he was walking to her, Kanako was backing up; in fight or flight mode. "You're interesting. Girls don't tell me not to call them princess.. so.." Before being able to finish his sentence, a girl of girls screams as they see Manato.
"OMG, heyyy Manato, is that your new girlfriend?" The girl blushed, but her friend behind her seemed annoyed. "You mean this week?" She mumbled under her breath loud enough for Kanako to hear. 'This week?'
"Heyy Utahime, you're still gorgeous as ever, but nah, she's not my girl, not unless she wanna be." Utahime giggled, blushed, and flustered, but both her friend and Kanako looked disgusted, rolling their eyes.
"Oh, but girly, be careful. He may be an adorable charmer, but he got a fan club." Utahime's friend came from behind her and looked directly at Kanako. "And his ass can't even keep a relationship with a girl for at least a damn week." She glared at Manato, then took Utahime's hand. "Come on, we're leaving."Oh, ok! Byee Manato!"
They waved bye to each other, but Manato's eyes seemed dead. Once they were out of sight, his smile dropped. He wiped his face and put back on the smile. Kanako watched his expression, as when the girls first came over, he didn't seem happy about it at all. "Now that I'm thinking about it, I didn't get your name." Kanako stared at his eyes, realizing the empty yet beautiful it was. "I'm Kanako. A new transfer student. And I don't want you to call me pet names, especially since you didn't even know my name. And one more thing." Kanako turns to leave. "If you're just playing with girls' hearts like you did with that girl who despises you, You won't like me once I punch you in the face."
Manato's eyes widened as no girl had ever smiled while threatening to hurt him, even though he hadn't played with her. Kanako walks off but turns to hear Manato laughing at her. "Haha! You're amazing, you know that? I'm Manato. The damn prince of this school. A playboy that'll tame girls' hearts and leave them in the fucking dust. But you. I want you, alright." He smiled lively at the color of his eyes sparkled. "I can't wait to make you mine. And of course, see you again."
Kanako blushed a bit at his smile but lost all feeling with his words, "Make you mine." It pissed her off a bit. "Sure, and I'll reject you with a smile, dumbass." Kanako smiled as she walked off still pissed with his words of choice.
'What an interesting girl..'
Kanako stood at the entrance of the school, glancing at her phone. Just as she was about to text him again, a message pinged: he was on his way.
As her brother approached, Kanako had a worried expression. 'Looks like Ms. K chewed him out.' Kanako thought as she hugged her brother doing her best to comfort him.
"I'm ready to go home now," Kazuma says, still leaning onto his sister for comfort.
Once they finally make it home, Kanako goes into her room to change but notices a weird glowing light coming from her desk drawer.
Opening it, a diary appears glowing and sparkling. "What is this?"
