POV Y/n

I walk out to the schoolyard to meet Mr. Aizawa. But he doesn't show up. After five minutes, I head back into the school building and walk towards the teacher's office. There, I ask the secretary, "I'd like to speak with Mr. Aizawa." She looks me up and down. "Sorry, but I can't let you see him," she says, turning back to her computer. "But it's urgent," I insist. "Sorry, I—"

"Didn't you hear me? I said it's urgent!" I raise my voice. "And who do you think you are, talking to me like that, you little brat?!" she yells back. "What did you just call me?!" I snap at her. "You heard me right, and now get lost. Mr. Aizawa has no time for little troublemakers like you," she rolls her eyes. I step closer, grab her blouse, and pull her towards me. "I don't think you should be calling Shota Aizawa's daughter a troublemaker. And you wouldn't want to lose your job, would you?" I glare at her. You could practically see the blood freeze in her veins, her face turning pale as a ghost. Just then, Mr. Aizawa arrives.

"Y/n, are you okay? What's going on?" I let go of the woman and turn to face my dad. "I'm fine. But I don't think the secretary is. She refused to let me see you, even after I told her you were my dad. But never mind, you're here now. Can we go?" I ask, smiling like a little kid at the last two sentences.

"Come on, let's go," he says, rolling his eyes.

"You just can't help yourself, can you?" he asks once we're outside.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"With the secretary," he says flatly.

"If she's going to call me a brat... I can't help that," I shrug.

"She... she really called you a brat?" he asks, looking at me in disbelief.

"Yes, that's what I just said," I reply, shaking my head.

"Let's go to your place. I don't really want to go home," I suggest, and he nods. As we walk, we talk a bit more.

"So, why did you want to talk to me?" I ask him.

"I heard you've been having some issues with the others lately. Was it a bad decision to adopt you?" His words shock me, and my eyes widen.

"W-what? No! Why would you think that?! I love being here. Yes, I've had some problems with the others recently, but I'm getting along well with Mina and her friends. They care about me, and I care about them, I think. And most importantly, I love being here in this city, at this school, and with you. For the first time in a long time, I have a father who looks out for me, who I know won't hurt me, and where I feel safe. Believe me when I say I love it here—I really mean it."

I look at him, and suddenly, I'm pulled into a hug.

"But what's really bothering you?" he asks while still hugging me. We pull apart.

"Can we talk about it at your place?" I ask quietly.

"Of course," he replies, and we continue walking.

When we get to his place, we sit on the couch right after taking off our shoes.

"Go ahead," he says.

"Where do I even start?" I ask.

"With Shoto. What happened between you two?"

"Well—..."

(Angelina-chan is too lazy again)

I tell him exactly what happened—why I was with Bakugou and everything else. He listens carefully without interrupting, although his face shows he's angry, sad, or sometimes relieved. We also talk a bit about my past.

"But promise me you won't do anything to them. I want to handle it myself for now," I say, noticing how tense he looks.

"Just let me know," he says.

"I will, I promise," I reply.

"But what exactly is going on with that Katsuki Bakugou?" he asks seriously.

"There's nothing going on. We're just good friends," I explain.

"Be careful, my dear," he warns in a stern tone.

"Yeah, yeah," I roll my eyes.

"By the way... Mina has invited all of us to her place. They're planning a little party and an overnight stay. Since I'm supposed to stay with you over the weekend, I thought maybe I could stay with you tonight instead. Tomorrow's Friday, so I could sleep at Mina's on Saturday. What do you think?" I finish explaining.

"I don't really care, as long as you spend at least one night at my place this week. Whether or not you sleep is your business. Just let me know in advance," he says, heading into the kitchen. I follow him.

"Then I'll sleep here tonight and at Mina's tomorrow, okay?"

"Fine by me," he replies, turning on the kettle. He opens a cupboard full of mugs. "Want some?" he asks, and I nod. He makes us both tea, and we sit back down at the kitchen table.

"Then I'll have to get things ready for school tomorrow," he sighs.

"That's great!!!" I shout excitedly.

"Let's go for a walk!" I exclaim, tugging him by the arm towards the door.

"Do we really have to go for another walk?" he asks, annoyed.

"Weren't you the one who wanted to have a normal father-daughter relationship?" I ask, and we're already outside. After the walk, we go to a café.

"I'll have a coffee," Mr. Aizawa says.

"I'll have a cappuccino," I add, and the waitress leaves to place our order.

"You're not allowed to drink coffee," Mr. Aizawa says sternly.

"I'm also not allowed to smoke, but I still do. Just like you did with that student," I say provocatively.

"Hmph," is all he says, waiting for our drinks to arrive.

We spent an hour at the café, having fun, laughing, and sharing stories from the past. Afterward, we went home and went straight to bed. This time, I slept on the couch.
