(In Kuea's Classroom)
Sand, Bee, Tay, and Joe sauntered in with an air of arrogance, their usual mockery in full swing. But as they got closer, something in Kuea's posture made them pause.
They exchanged wary glances, suddenly unsure of themselves. They had encountered this side of Kuea once before... back in the chemistry lab, when everything had gone wrong.
Sand, the self-proclaimed leader of the bullies, felt a chill run down his spine. His bravado faltered, but he forced a mocking grin, hoping to mask the fear creeping up his throat.
"Look who's trying to act tough again," Sand sneered, but his voice lacked its usual confidence. "Hey, isn't this the same guy who begged us to let him out yesterday?" Sand continued, attempting to regain his composure.
Kuea's friends, King, Uea, and Diao, looked on, surprised by the shift in his attitude. This wasn't the quiet, reserved Kuea they knew.
His usual gentle demeanor was replaced by something darker, something that made even the air around them feel dangerous.
A few students in the room had stopped what they were doing, their curiosity piqued as they sensed the tension escalating.
Whispers rippled through the classroom like the murmur of an impending storm.
King, always the most outspoken of the group, narrowed his eyes and stepped forward. His voice was laced with controlled anger. "Did you guys lock him in the old PT room?"
The air seemed to stand still, the question hanging heavily between them.
For a brief moment, Sand hesitated, but then, with a smug smirk, he answered. "Yeah, we did. And we'd do it again." His tone was mocking, full of arrogance, as if daring Kuea and his friends to react.
That was all it took.
Kuea's fingers twitched, his mind moving faster than his body. He had had enough. Without a word, he reached over to Uea's desk, snatching a pen from his hand with a swift, almost predatory movement.
The room fell silent, everyone watching as Kuea advanced toward Sand with calculated steps. There was no hesitation, no second-guessing.
In a flash, Kuea raised the pen, aiming it directly at Sand's eyes, his movements precise and shockingly fast. He stopped just a few inches short of making contact, but the effect was immediate.
Sand's bravado shattered like glass. His face drained of color, his knees buckling as a dark stain spread across his pants. He had wet himself in terror.
The room exploded with laughter, the sound cutting through the tension like a knife. King, Uea, and Diao doubled over, trying and failing to stifle their giggles.
The other students who had been watching burst into uncontrollable laughter as well, their phones out, recording every second of Sand's humiliation.
But Kuea wasn't laughing. His eyes stayed locked on Sand, the pen still hovering dangerously close to the bully's face.
The smirk on his lips was cold, devoid of any humor. "What's wrong, Sand? Didn't expect to piss yourself today, did you?"
Sand was shaking, unable to look away from Kuea's eyes... those eyes that now seemed to burn with something otherworldly, something far more dangerous than any of the taunts or punches he had ever thrown at Kuea.
Kuea leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a low, menacing whisper that only Sand could hear. "Remember the chemistry lab?"
The words alone were enough to make Sand's breath hitch. His mind flashed back to that day, the day they thought Kuea was an easy target. He had been wrong... so terribly wrong.
