Andi's pov
Hellfire.
If that's even what you want to call it. Everyone was running, screaming,... dying. We tried to help but we couldn't and before I know it were in a room with a red demon and a guy in a suit
"You want the mutants? they're right through there-" I shifted behind Angel and Hank, "Just leave us normal people go. We're no threat..." Normal people? What the hell?
Gunfire started and all i could hear was the ringing, the bullets hitting the ground, the sound of someone moving.
A man walks in, a causal demeanor. He had a helmet covering most of his face, "Where is the telepath?" The man asks looking around.
"Not here" HIM from The Powerpuff girls spoke.
"Too bad" The old guy chuckled, like someone had made a joke. "At least i can take this silly thing off" He takes off his helmet. "Good evening. My name is Sebastian Shaw, and I am not here to hurt you" He walks towards us.
I grab something, anything, whatever i can sink my fingers into. That so happened to be the man next to me.
Alex fucking Summers.
He's name. His face. His tone annoys me.
I don't like him. Never did. We went to Middle School together until he showed up first day of freshman year and blasted the whiteboard in half with plasma. Ms Brown quit the same week, she was the best math teacher
He was cocky and rude to others, also his family freaked me out. We were neighbors so I saw him through the windows most nights.
I gripped his arm, my nails digging into his skin. He didn't flinch just simply looked over at me and then back at the commotion.
I let go of him, act like nothing happened, he made my blood pressure rise. He's just so- "Freeze!", a voice drew me out of my mind.
Asher's pov
"Azazel" Shaw pressed as the demon teleported outside where the man was and stabbed him.
"My friends" Shaw started.
"We're not friends." Andi spat out.
"...there is a revolution coming" Shaw continues, " When mankind discovers who we are, what we can do, each of us will face a choice" He circles us like a vulture, "Be enslaved or rise up to rule" Something changed in Andi's face, their eyes glared a new emotion.
"Choose freely, then know if you're not with us, then by definition you are against us. so you can stay and fight for the people who hate and fear you or you could come with us and be kings" He looks at Angel, "and queens"
Angel stepped forward, "Angel-" I tried to stop her but Angel interrupted me and looks at Andi.
"Come on" She smiles weakly, "We don't belong here" Angel sighs "And that is nothing to be ashamed of"
As the others tried to stop Andi stepped out, walking to Shaw with Angel. They've given up. I look toward the others and I notice two things; Hank looks lost, trying to figure out what's happening, and Alex looks almost hurt.
3rd person pov
Darwin grabs Alex and says something to him and Alex pushes him away, "Stop. I'm coming with you."
"Good choice" Shaw smiles at the boy coming too him, "Tell me about your mutation"
"Well I adapt to survive so I guess I'm coming with you" Darwin smirks. The praise he receives is complementary as he grabs Andi and Angel and tucked them under his arm, "ALEX"
Alex screams at the others to get down and he blast plasma circles at Shaw, Shaw responding by taking the energy and informing it into a ball in his hands.
"Protecting your fellow mutants" He smiles. "It's noble gesture. It feels good, doesn't it?" Shaw goes up to Darwin and shoves the ball in his mouth, "Survive this."
And with that he grabs his new recruits and disappears, leaving Darwin to crumble up and fall.
