Ch.2 {End of the beginning}

Tanjiro's pov:

After a demon slayer named Tomioka Giyu saved us from and demon, me and Nezuko head towards Mount Sagiri to train and become demon slayers to avenge our family.

Don't worry everybody, ill be sure that that creature will pay for what It's done.

On our way, we stumbled upon a bamboo forest, and decided to take some bamboo and make an basket out of it! Incase we'll need an basket that is-

After what felt like hours, the sun had begun to set, so we hurry and make it to the foot of the mountain. It looks very eery and scary at night time.. But we'll have to face that in order to go up the mountain, other wise we will have to wait till morning.

"Hey, Tanjiro?" Nezuko asks. "Mh?" "Do you also feel someone watching us?" I stare at her blankly- "no, but we'll have to keep an eye out in case something does happen to be here."

A few minutes go by and i hear an noise coming from behind us,but nothing's there. That's when i notice that Nezuko's gone and i hear a growl coming from above me.

Its an demon.

I look around but there's no sign of Nezuko, my heart starts feeling heavy by the thought of if that demon had already devoured her before i noticed..

I can feel my heart racing and my breathing becoming unsteady but i quickly get snapped back into reality with the demon lunging towards me and i quickly run to find something to use against it, as i ran i tripped and slammed my head on the floor pretty bad, i started to feel an headache pretty soon after. I hear the demon walking up behind me and i turn around facing it and crawling backwards, i soon realise that I'm on the edge of an cliff as the demon inches closer and i prepare for the worst..

"You thought you could get rid of me?"

Huh?.. I look behind the demon and see someone with an katana stab it through its chest..

Nezuko!?

"N-NEZUKO!? Wha- how-" She quickly grabs my arm and we start running away from the demon, as its now wounded-"Ill explain how later! Right now we need to run." Nezuko hurriedly says, i nod as we make it to an small hut. We walk towards it to find shelter for the night, only to see dead bodies of people laying in here with blood splattered everywhere. Ones limbs torn from him, the other's head missing and the other one having to be just disfigured brutally. I wanted to puke.

We both slowly walk out of that house, completely shocked and pray for these people to live peacefully in the afterlife. And then continue running up the mountain to search for an guy in a Tengu mask.

Something then jumps infront of us... The demon!

We try to outrun it but it quickly catches up to us, resulting it to the demon holding us both to the ground. "L-Let go!" I hear Nezuko manage to yell out as i try kicking the demon off of us.

"You think you can overpower me?! Humans can be SOOOOOO IGNORANT. You know what... Since I'm feeling nice this fiiiiine night, ill give you both an headstart before i DEVOUR YOU BOTH!!"

The demon lets us go and counts as it gives us a chance to run, me and Nezuko decide to split up and find something we can use to hurt it. That was an bad idea....what if she gets hurt?? Suddenly i trip over something due to being distracted by my own thoughts.. 'The katana! how did it get here-? Nevermind that, i have a sister to save!' I think to myself as i run in the direction Nezuko ran, running as fast as i can to reach her as i no longer see the demon in its earlier position. hurry hurry hurryhurry hurryhurryhurryhuryyhurryhrryhurryhurryhuryyhurry..!

suddenly i felt my body fall to the ground- did i bump into something? I look infront of me with my hand rubbing my head to see the demon weirdly close to my face, I jump back in fright and hold the katana infront of me, as soon as i stood up it dissapeared. 'Where did it?!- ' i think to myself as i look around. The silence deafening as the leaves on the trees begin to move due to the little wind here, sounds coming from bushes.. Suddenly i hear a scream not so far from where I'm standing.. Can it be..? "NEZUKOO!!!" i yell out as i run even faster then before in the direction i heard the screaming, the katana still infront of me. 'please be save-please!' i can smell the scent of blood the closer i get, feeling a few tears already leaving my eyes, closing them to wipe them away. i open my eyes quickly enough to dodge a tree i almost ran into.

I arrive to the scene, cries filling the enviroment. Seeing The demon standing infront of Nezuko, i froze. My heart beating like crazy as i feel myself feeling light, like i have no weight on me, then i see the demon stepping away, laughing to reveal Nezuko crying in pain with her hands covering the...massive....scar.

That's when i felt it.

I felt myself moving without even thinking,

Like my body moved on its own,

That's when i felt it,

Rage.

Blinded by it, i start stabbing the demon over and over again, in the blits of it i only manage to see the demon fall to the ground as i continue the stabbing, stabbing its torso, cutting off its head, tearing his limbs apart, severing it in so many pieces until i grew tired and stabbed it one final time in its decapitated head. Its blood everywhere on me.

"Go to hell."

I back away from the body a bit, panting heavily as it suddenly began dessintegrating, so did the blood that stained me, it dissapeared. 'I actually did it... I-'

I felt someone suddenly hug me, Nezuko. I Snap out of my trance as i see her scarred face, i hug her back tightly- "N-nezuko.. You're alright..." I mutter to myself as i cry in relieve.

The scars on her face luckily didn't hit her eyes, or she would've gone blind. With little bandages i had in my pocket i bandaged her forehead and surprisingly managed to clean most of the blood. We were both became quiet whilst i tended her wounds. I stood up, offering Nezuko a hand up since she's sitting on the ground and we continued our way to look for the guy Tomioka advised us and Soon after the sun began to rise.

"Hey, brother?" Nezuko asks me. "When we become demon slayers, how long will it take before we can go back to living normally? I mean, we want to become demon slayers yeah, but it involves killing. Alot of killing..." She asks as she looks down at the ground. I look at her with all the sympathy in me, shes still So young, she wouldnt have to worry about that..

looking up at the morning sky i remember the words our father told me once, before his passing.

Nezuko looks at me expecting an answer, i look back at her with an reassuring smile.

"Soon, hopefully."
