I was in the middle of a heated argument with my girlfriend when she suddenly blurted out, "Fine, you want to know the truth? I'm married!" My world spun; I stumbled backward, feeling the sting of betrayal. She wasn't just married—she was married to my dad. My heart pounded as she explained how she had married him years ago in a desperate move to escape her past, but then met me and couldn't let go. I thought I was living a romantic fantasy, sneaking around, stolen kisses, and secret getaways. But now, every affectionate moment felt like a sick joke. As if the universe wasn't twisted enough, she revealed she was pregnant, unsure if the father was him or me. I felt my blood run cold, the weight of the secret pressing down on my soul. The room spun as my dad walked in, clueless to the bombshell that had just detonated. My life was a grotesque soap opera, and I was trapped. As my dad walked into the room, a grin spread across his face—oblivious to the chaos I was drowning in. He greeted my girlfriend, his wife, with a warm smile and kissed her on the cheek, unaware of the bombshell she'd just dropped. I stood there frozen, my mind reeling, unable to speak. She shifted uncomfortably, glancing between us, but before I could process any of it, my dad's phone rang.

He answered, turning away from us for a moment. "Hello? Yeah, I'm on my way."

Then he turned back, his expression changing from casual to serious in an instant. "I need to talk to both of you."

I braced myself for another twisted revelation. "There's something I've been hiding, too."

My stomach dropped as he continued, "You see, I've known about your relationship for a while now." His eyes flicked toward me, then her. "In fact, I orchestrated it."

My head snapped up. "What the hell are you talking about?"

"I needed to test her loyalty, to see if she'd stay with me or if she'd run off again. When she met you, I knew it would be the perfect test. I watched as you two got closer, just to see if she'd betray me."

I felt a wave of nausea hit me. "So this was all a game to you?"

He smiled, cold and calculating. "More than a game, son. It was necessary. And now that we know how far she'll go, I can finally decide what to do with her."

My girlfriend—his wife—looked at him in horror. "What are you saying?"

He stepped closer to her, his voice dropping to a menacing whisper. "I control what happens next."

Before either of us could react, my dad pulled out a small envelope and tossed it onto the table. "A DNA test, already done. The child isn't mine."

The room fell deathly silent as my dad locked eyes with me, his grin returning. "It's yours, son. But don't get too comfortable. You might think you're free from this mess, but you're more trapped than ever."

As he walked out, leaving us in stunned silence, I realized the twisted truth: he had never lost control of the situation. And now, I had not only betrayed my father—I had unknowingly played right into his hands.
