Everyone meets the person who made me this way, Angel Inez.

Luna's Point of View

"Hey, don't be like that, Violet. Everyone knows that I'm the best thing that Luna has ever had. What they call it... "The Favorite Ex" type shit," Angel said as she smiled brightly at me. I continued making my cold stone face but felt Violet shoving me to speak or do something.

I didn't have anything to say to her. I was just shocked that she had the guts to come in here and face me after what she did to me. She didn't know if I wanted to strangle her or just beat her ass. That's bold of her.

"Nah, I wouldn't mention you like that. You're not a favorite, but just a hoe who knows how to manipulate and open her legs," I said, making her smile drop. I shrugged and made an "mmph" sound, turning around to restock the candles.

"I think you should go, Angel. Coming to someone's workplace on bullshit is honestly messed up even for you," Violet said. I couldn't see her face, but I knew she was disgusted by her being in there. Something smelt like shit, and Violet wanted it to go awful.

"Violet, you don't have to always speak for her. She's grown, she can tell me-"

I cut her off by saying, "You can leave now." without looking at her still. She didn't deserve any energy that she wanted, and I wasn't going to give it to her. I'm not that ex and would never be that ex again.

"Whatever, Lu, let me know when you wanna be grown and have a conversation." She said about to walk away.

"Nah, let me know when you stop acting childish and can respect your place in my life. Have a nice one, Angel." I said as she made her way out. I looked back, seeing she looked back at me with a mean mug.

Violet waved her hand, shooing her away, making me chuckle. She sucked her teeth and left without saying anything else. I sighed in relief that she was gone. I couldn't keep having the urge to whoop her ass. When the fuck did she come back to town, and where was she?

"Bro, where the fuck did that hoe come from?" Violet said, making me shrug. I continue to put the candles away in silence. I was trying to avoid digging that deep into Angel, considering that would make more issues out of simple curiosity. I didn't want to have a relationship with her again; I just wanted to know what happened.

"Don't let her get to you, Luna. You're better without her." Violet said, patting my back and comforting me. She went to finish her side as I continued mine, not thinking too hard but thinking. Angel truly got me fucked up especially coming in like everything was excellent. We would never be what we were, hoe, ever.

After work, I drove home to see Mom's and Am ni's car. I sighed a bit, thinking I wanted to be alone after what happened at my job, but I probably needed to talk about it to get over it. I parked my car and went into the house, hearing my mom in the kitchen with Amani's loud laugh.

I went inside and saw Dawn cooking dinner while Mom and Amani were sitting at the dining table, talking about something that had both of their crazy asses laughing. "There's my girlie. I heard you were having a nasty time with your new boo." My mom said as she saw me. I stuck my teeth, shaking my head while sitting at the table. "But at the cafeteria, though... I taught you better than that."

Amani started laughing with Dawn as she brought the alfredo she cooked to the table. Dawn loved to cook, so she helped Mom with dinner here and there. Both were excellent cooks, but Dawn's alfredo always made it to my top five favorite meals. Dawn sat down, indicating that dinner was ready, so everyone dug in.
