Chapter 1.5 - What Happened?

My brain couldn't register this. How could I be partners with Noah?!

I couldn't wrap my brain around this. But at least I can figure out if that 'me liking pain' thing is gonna stick or not.

There has to be a name for that. I remember my friend, Addison, talk about it. I think if I remember very hard. It's called being a masochist, someone who finds pleasure in pain.

I somewhat believe in that stuff. But I don't believe that I find pleasure in Noah bullying me.

Sure, I like running my fingers over the bruises and the pain of it. But I don't enjoy it.

But let's hope that Noah changes over the course of this thing.

———————Addison's POV———————

Before Alex entered the Lab

I entered my final hour, Science Lab. I sigh as I'm glad the day is almost over.

I sigh even harder when I see the list on the board. I look for my name, and I'm not partnered with Alex. I curse under my breath, and I look for his name.

I put my hand over my mouth as I see Alex is partnered with Noah. He is not going to like this at all. I need to tell Alex, but... I have to tell Noah something.

When Noah walked into the room, I instantly walked up to him. He looked me up and down and asked what I needed.

"Alright, You're partnered with Alex, if you fucking lay a finger on him, berate him, bully him, or whatever. I will murder you, and I'm serious."

"Ok, but whatever." He walked off to his seat. He kept looking at me, and I sense fear in his body and eyes. Great.

I'm glad to know that Alex will be safe.

Well, I look at the list again and see that my partner is the popular kid, Jeremy.

Crap.

I hate that kid so much. He's such a player, and he treats women so terrible. Looks like I'm not the only one who's in hell for this assignment.
