Here's the sitch: Anne-Laure Leclerc had no choice but to idolize her brothers as children. Charles did what Lorenzo did, Arthur did what Charles did, and Anne-Laure was left to desperately try catch up to all of them. If not for Charles reaching Formula One, his younger siblings' dreams would've never come alive. But with his success, he was able to sponsor them to follow in his footsteps. Now Arthur has established himself in endurance racing, and Anne-Laure is leading the FRECA Rookie Championship. She never had any other concept of what life could have looked like. There was only driving. When your entire family is sufficiently imbued in the world of Formula Racing, you don't really need to let them know that you've decided your passion is in anything else.
While the Leclercs are known for their new-born racing dynasty, Anne-Laure has her own additional reputation to uphold. Being the 2023 French F4 runner up, an Aston Martin junior development driver, one of only four women in FRECA, the leader of the Rookie Championship, and often most importantly: "Baby Leclerc." Which, out of all nicknames laid out in front of her, Anne-Laure would not have picked that one. But beggars can't be choosers, and anyway, people love her for it.
Coincidentally, the people also love the Formula One grid's newest and most unexpected rookie, Franco Colapinto, who quickly fashions himself a reputation for flirting with everything that breathes. One minor interaction with one very beloved Leclerc sparks a new obsession for the internet to fawn over. And, perhaps, for Anne-Laure too.
