**Declan's POV**

Declan ran through the forest with a speed and grace only a wolf could possess. His mind was a whirlwind of frustration and desperation. He had never felt the pull of the prophecy as intensely as he did now. It was both a blessing and a curse. If the woman in the prophecy truly existed, then he had to take care of her—whether he wanted to or not. Jessica was unconscious, her breathing shallow and irregular. Declan gently lifted her into his arms and carried her back to the safety of his mansion, which lay hidden deep within the forest. He had a guest room prepared for emergencies, and this seemed like one.

In the guest room, he placed Jessica gently on the bed and covered her with a warm blanket. Her face was pale, and her breathing was slow but steady. Declan knew he had to be cautious. If she was truly the one from the prophecy, her presence would attract danger, and he had to protect her at all costs.

He called Alex, who arrived within minutes, his face a mixture of concern and curiosity. "Is she the one?" Alex asked, looking at Jessica with a keen eye.

"I'm not sure yet," Declan replied. "But if she fits the description of the prophecy. We need to be careful. If she is the one, then there will be others who will want her for themselves"

Alex  nodded, taking in the situation.

**Jessica's POV**

Jessica awoke to find herself in an unfamiliar room. The soft, ambient light of the setting sun filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow on the walls. She was disoriented, her head pounding, and she tried to sit up but found her limbs heavy and weak.

A gentle voice broke through her haze. "Easy, you're safe here."

Jessica turned her head and saw a man sitting beside her bed. He was tall and imposing, with a ruggedly handsome face and intense eyes that seemed to see right through her. He was dressed in dark, simple clothes, and his presence was both commanding and reassuring.

"Where am I?" she croaked, her voice barely a whisper.

"You're in my home," the man replied. "I found you in the forest. Do you remember what happened?"

Jessica's mind raced, trying to piece together the fragments of her memory. "I was in the garden. Coco and Jazz went into the woods. I followed them, and then..."

"You encountered something in the forest," he said, nodding. "Do you remember what it was?"

Jessica's eyes widened as she recalled the giant black wolf with glowing red eyes. "Yes, a wolf. It was huge and... it frightened me. I must have hit my head."

The man's expression softened with understanding. "You were lucky I found you. The forest can be dangerous."

"Who are you?" Jessica asked, trying to push herself up.

"My name is Declan," he said, offering a reassuring smile. "I'm... well, let's just say I'm someone who can help you."

Jessica looked around the room, noting its comfort and the subtle air of luxury. "Why did you bring me here?"

Declan hesitated for a moment before answering. "I believe you might be important. There are things that you might not understand yet, but you're part of something larger than you know."

**Declan's POV**

Declan watched as Jessica tried to make sense of her surroundings. He had to be careful with his revelations.

The prophecy was a delicate subject, and he needed to gauge her reaction before divulging too much. He needed to be sure that she was the right one before involving her in the dangerous world of the prophecy and the curse.
