*Jungkook's POV*
The soft click of Jungkook’s office door closing behind him brought a momentary sense of calm. His company, *JK Enterprises*, had been expanding rapidly, and he had been juggling meetings, calls, and endless paperwork. But today felt different. It wasn’t just the pressure of work; something else was gnawing at him.
Sighing, Jungkook glanced out the large windows of his office, the city skyline stretching out in the distance. His assistant, Hana, had just left after informing him of his upcoming meetings, but his mind was distracted, plagued by an odd sensation that had been growing over the past few weeks—like eyes following his every move. He couldn’t shake the feeling, no matter how busy he tried to keep himself.
At first, Jungkook had dismissed it as paranoia, a side effect of stress and exhaustion. After all, running a company wasn’t easy. But lately, the sensation had become more frequent. And then there were the small things—unmarked packages arriving at his office, strange phone calls with no voice on the other end, and odd, cryptic messages on his social media.
His phone buzzed on the desk, snapping him out of his thoughts. A new message appeared from an unknown number. Jungkook frowned as he opened it.
*"You looked good in that black suit today, Jungkook. I wonder what you’d look like without it."*
His heart skipped a beat. It wasn’t the first time he had received strange texts like this, but this one felt more unsettling. There was something explicitly perverse about the tone that made his skin crawl.
Jungkook quickly locked his phone and tried to shake off the creeping unease. Maybe it was just some random troll who got his number. He hoped that was all it was. He couldn’t let something like this get to him—not when he had so much on his plate.
His phone buzzed again.
*"I bet you sleep shirtless, don’t you? I wonder what your sheets smell like in the morning..."*
Jungkook stared at the screen, his heart pounding in his chest. This was definitely more than some random troll. The messages were becoming bolder, more personal. It was like someone had been watching him. His eyes flickered around the room, irrationally checking the corners as if the sender could be hiding there.
He swallowed hard and set his phone down, trying to focus on the pile of documents in front of him. He had an important presentation tomorrow, and he needed to be sharp. But his mind kept wandering back to the messages, the weight of an invisible gaze pressing down on him.
Just then, a knock interrupted his spiraling thoughts.
“Mr. Jeon, your meeting with the board is in ten minutes,” Hana’s voice called from the other side of the door.
“Thanks, Hana,” Jungkook replied, trying to steady his voice.
He stood and adjusted his suit, hoping to shake off the lingering discomfort. The messages could wait. He needed to focus on his job. But as he walked out of his office, his phone buzzed again.
*"I’ll be seeing you soon."*
---
That evening, after a long day of meetings and presentations, Jungkook returned to his penthouse, exhausted but still on edge. He’d been distracted the whole day, his thoughts looping back to the messages. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t concentrate. The board had noticed his distraction, but he’d managed to brush it off as fatigue.
Jimin, his best friend, had noticed something was off, too, and had texted him during a meeting.
*"You okay? Wanna grab dinner tonight?"*
Jungkook had replied with a quick “later,” unable to explain the unease that had settled deep in his gut.
As he stepped into the dark, quiet apartment, he finally exhaled, dropping his keys on the kitchen counter and loosening his tie. He walked over to the large windows that overlooked the bustling city below, but tonight, even the familiar view couldn’t calm him.
Jungkook pulled out his phone again, hoping to see something normal—something that would distract him. Instead, there was another message waiting for him.
*"I wonder how your skin feels. So smooth and soft, I bet. Just like silk."*
His breath hitched, and for a moment, he thought about deleting the number and blocking it. But his fingers hovered over the screen. There was no telling if this stalker would just find another way to contact him.
Feeling a knot of anxiety twisting in his stomach, Jungkook sat down on his couch, trying to think of what to do next. He didn’t want to involve the police yet; this could still just be a sick joke, right? He didn’t want to make a big deal out of something that might blow over. But deep down, he knew that ignoring it wasn’t going to make it stop.
Just as he was about to message Jimin and confide in him, his phone buzzed again.
*"Don’t ignore me, baby. I’ll make you regret it."*
Jungkook’s hand shook as he stared at the words on the screen. The messages were becoming more aggressive, more threatening. His skin prickled, and he glanced around his apartment, suddenly feeling exposed, even though he was alone.
He decided to text Jimin after all.
*"Hey, can we meet up tonight? I need to talk."*
Jimin’s reply came instantly. *"Of course. Want me to come over?"*
Jungkook felt a wave of relief. *"Yeah, that’d be great. Thanks."*
As he waited for Jimin, Jungkook couldn’t help but feel like something was about to happen—something that he couldn’t control. He walked over to the windows again, staring out into the night, but for the first time in his life, the view felt more like a cage than a comfort. Someone out there was watching him. Someone out there knew too much.
The phone buzzed one more time, the final message of the night sending a chill down his spine.
*"I’ll make sure you never feel alone again."*
Jungkook’s breath caught in his throat. Whoever this person was, they weren’t going away. And they weren’t just watching—they were planning something much worse.
