Jungkook's heart was pounding in his chest as he slowly regained his senses. The dim light hanging from the ceiling barely illuminated the room, casting eerie shadows across the walls that seemed to stretch and curl around him like sinister fingers. Every bone in his body felt heavy, and his wrists ached where the rough bindings held him fast.
He blinked, willing his mind to shake off the remnants of the sedative, but a cold realization settled over him as he glanced around: this wasn't his home. It wasn't even remotely familiar. He was in an unknown place, one that felt too deliberate, too calculated. His gaze traveled to the corners of the room, noting the bare walls and the single, sturdy door with a deadbolt.
"Where...am I?" he whispered to himself, the words barely audible. A chilling wave of terror washed over him as his memory returned in fragments-the unexpected phone call, Taehyung's sinister smirk, the cloth pressed against his face. He remembered the last thing Taehyung had whispered, a promise that felt more like a threat: "I'm never letting you go."
As if on cue, a faint creak of a door echoed in the silence, sending a jolt of fear through his entire being. He tensed, his eyes wide, as Taehyung entered the room, his footsteps unhurried, his face illuminated by that same unsettling smile. His gaze met Jungkook's, a look so intense that Jungkook felt his skin crawl.
"There you are," Taehyung said softly, his voice calm, almost affectionate. "I was wondering when you'd wake up."
Jungkook swallowed hard, his mouth dry. He could barely manage to whisper, "Why...why are you doing this, Taehyung?"
Taehyung's smile didn't falter. If anything, it widened. He walked closer, his hand reaching out to brush a strand of hair from Jungkook's forehead. The touch was feather-light, yet it filled Jungkook with dread.
"Why?" Taehyung murmured, as though the answer were obvious. "Because, Jungkook...I love you. I've always loved you. And now...now you'll understand just how much."
Jungkook flinched, jerking his head away from Taehyung's touch. But Taehyung didn't seem bothered by the reaction. Instead, he simply tilted his head, a dark glint in his eyes.
"You're afraid of me," Taehyung said softly, almost as if he were marveling at the fact. He took a step closer, and Jungkook's breath hitched. "But you don't have to be, Jungkook. I'll take care of you. I'll make sure no one ever hurts you again. No one will even come close."
Jungkook could feel his heart hammering against his ribcage, fear and confusion mingling in a storm inside him. "This isn't love, Taehyung. This...this is insanity. You can't just...kidnap me and expect me to feel the same way!"
Taehyung's expression darkened, his hand clenching into a fist. "Is that what you think?" he said, his voice now a chilling whisper. He leaned down until their faces were inches apart, his eyes boring into Jungkook's. "You don't understand, Jungkook. I did all of this for you. I got rid of anyone who dared to come between us. I watched over you every day, every night, to make sure you were safe."
Jungkook shivered, bile rising in his throat as he realized just how deep Taehyung's obsession went. "You...you hurt people...for me?"
Taehyung smiled again, his eyes filled with a disturbing satisfaction. "I did what was necessary. People who don't respect boundaries...they deserve what they get." His fingers brushed against Jungkook's cheek, sending a cold shiver down his spine. "You have no idea how long I've waited for this. To finally have you...to make you mine."
